Welcome

As your Financial Advisor, I will act in your best interest. After 30 + years serving wealthy families several traits have served me well. Honesty and sincerity of advice and attentiveness to my client's needs and concerns. My assistant, Jason, and I work cooperatively with all our client’s advisors on tax and estate planning matters. We encourage client involvement and offer investment education along our journey. Lastly, we value the relationship we build with our clients and work hard each and every day to earn their trust and business. With the resources of Morgan Stanley and my team, we stand ready to help you and your family.

Prior to Morgan Stanley, I earned my Business Administration degree from Rutgers College. I began my career after the stock market crash of 1987, which taught me the most important lesson of my career: build and develop long term relationships and not for the next transaction. If I can add value to a perspective client, I will outline and then over time demonstrate my abilities to decipher a clients financial needs and then act in their best interest to find the appropriate solutions for them and their family. The process begins with discovery and understanding the client’s unique situation and continues through the planning process before we even think of execution. All along the way we concern ourselves with risk analysis, asset allocation, tax consequences and ultimately investment selection and ongoing monitoring.

Outside of the office, you can find me at a Rutgers football game or spending time with my wonderful wife and kids. I sat on the Emerson, NJ Recreation Department as a director and was on the Board of Trustees with the JCCP/CBT of Paramus, NJ.

A 529 plan creates an incentive for families to invest toward education costs because earnings in the plan can be tax-deferred, with withdrawals being exempt from federal and, in most cases, state income taxes if you use the funds for qualified expenses, such as tuition, fees, room and board, and supplies.

4Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
