Our Financial Planning Process

The pursuit of financial success begins with a plan.  As your advisors and financial stewards, we provide comprehensive planning strategies so that you can pursue a brighter and more secure future.  Our team is made up of two Certified Financial Planners®, a professional certification that is recognized as the highest standard in personal financial planning, with extensive training in the areas of taxes, insurance, estate planning, and retirement.

Plans are unique.  No two people are the same.  We create plans that are uniquely your own.  We help you define what you want out of life, and then create a financial framework to bring these goals to reality.  Our financial plans offer a high-degree of personalization that matches your investments to your goals and your willingness to take on risk.  We also help manage your liabilities so that you can feel confident in your complete financial picture.

Plans are progressive and innovative.  Whether it’s our innovative new Goals Planning System (GPS), a goals-based digital platform which offers a single, connected view that links your finances and investments to your top concerns and priorities; or our robust LifeView® suite of tools, we can create your personal roadmap to help achieve and protect your goals.  Both of these platforms offer us the ability to create a plan that’s just right for you, your family, and your goals, and provides us with a baseline for future discussions.

We are as committed to your success as you are.  The result of our process is a financial plan that is dynamic and vibrant, as enduring as the lifetime of achievement it represents.

2Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
