Helping You To Achieve Your Dreams

Athina is an alternate spelling of Athena. Athina was revered as a protector and a warrior. She is associated with wisdom and righteousness. We feel that this name reflects our commitment to you as we strive to be your wise and fearless advisors.

My partners Samantha Grieco, Steve Foki, and I are excited about our collaboration. Most of you know Steve as he and I have been working together for several years. Sam joins us from Merrill Lynch. She was previously with Charles Schwab.

Steve will continue to help you with your administrative/operational questions and processes. Sam and I will implement financial planning, investments, insurance, and lending solutions. Sam’s initial responsibilities are financial planning and insurance. She will also work with you on the various tools and systems Morgan Stanley provides for your benefit.

Expanding our team gives us the opportunity to provide optimal service to you. If you have any suggestions as to what you would love to have added, please let me know.

The Athina Group will continue to strive to provide the highest level of service while we work to earn and maintain your continued trust.

Helping you to achieve your dreams is my mantra. Financial planning and investing are not a one size fits all deal. There are many ways to achieve the same goal. Listening to you helps us show you the options that may work best for you.

One aspect of my job is to be your coach and mentor. The best coaches work with you to emphasize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. The best mentors don’t tell you what to do. They are sounding boards who help you weigh the pros and cons of your course of action so that you make the best decision for you.

Once we have determined your goals and comfort level, we can design strategies for your goals. If absolutely necessary, we will push you outside of your comfort zone to get you to your goal.

My love of horseback riding has helped tremendously in my work. Riding effectively is often counterintuitive. One of the hardest lessons I still struggle with is letting go of the reins when the horse is upset. Every instinct says to hold on tight and pull back hard! To stay safe, you must gently turn the horse in a circle to slow down the pace.

Investing and risk management is often counterintuitive. I will help you learn and execute those counterintuitive strategies such as focusing on long-term growth instead short-term volatility and investing in areas that are not in the headlines.
