2025 Message

Life Happens. Let’s Plan For It.
As a Financial Advisor with decades of experience, I believe great advice goes beyond numbers—it’s about helping people. Plain and simple. Whether you’re navigating growth as a business owner, redefining life after divorce, or planning for your family’s future, I’m here to help you tackle life’s “what ifs” with clear, purpose-driven strategies.

Guidance Backed By Experience
As one of only 5%* (As of Dec 2024) of Morgan Stanley advisors to hold the Family Wealth Director designation, I bring a distinctive focus on addressing the unique challenges and opportunities that come with managing significant wealth. I’m also proud to serve on Morgan Stanley’s National Financial Advisor Advisory Council—a group of just 16 financial advisors nationwide that collaborates with senior leadership to shape strategies that help make a difference for clients around the country.

A Process That Works For You
Financial decisions can be overwhelming, especially when emotions run high. My approach is simple: I help you remove the noise so you can see the bigger picture. Together, we’ll create a plan that helps balance opportunity and risk, all to help you step into your future with clarity.

A Track Record of Excellence
• Five Star Wealth Manager (2016–2025)

For decades, clients have entrusted me to help them reach their most important financial goals. It's a responsibility I treat with the utmost care and commitment. Day in and day out. I do this so you can focus on what really matters: living the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

Improving Your Performance

I leverage our unique position and our affiliates to source innovative strategies from among the most knowledgeable investment minds in the business. Employing rigorous due diligence to identify, evaluate and select each alternative investment product on our platform, I work to identify the managers that I believe are highly qualified to help my clients meet their objectives. Your choices will depend on your goals, objectives and risk tolerance.

A Process Built for Clear Decisions

Building and protecting wealth is not about shortcuts. It is about a repeatable process that balances opportunity and risk — and holds up when markets or life get complicated.
    Step 1 — Discovery
We start with your full picture: - Goals and time horizon
    - Family dynamics and priorities
    - Business ownership, equity compensation, or concentrated positions
    - Cash needs, liabilities, and risk tolerance
    - Tax and estate context (working with your CPA and attorney)
The goal of this step is simple: understand what you are trying to protect, grow, and eventually pass on.
    Step 2 — Plan Design
We design a written plan that connects: - Investment strategy and asset allocation
    - Tax-aware framing of key decisions
    - Estate and legacy coordination points
    - Liquidity needs and balance-sheet tools when relevant
    - Whether private markets belong in your plan — and at what size
You should leave this stage knowing not only what we recommend, but why.
    Step 3 — Implementation
We put the plan to work through Morgan Stanley’s platform: - Build and fund the portfolio
    - Implement cash, lending, or protection tools if the plan calls for them
    - Add private market or alternative exposures only when suitability, liquidity, and fit are clear
    - Coordinate timing with tax and legal advisors when a transaction or life event is involved
    Step 4 — Ongoing Partnership
A plan is not a one-time document. - Scheduled reviews to track progress and life changes
    - Rebalancing and adjustments when the facts change
    - Clear communication in good markets and difficult ones
    - Help staying disciplined when noise and emotion spike

Family Wealth Decisions

Significant wealth does not create one problem. It creates a stream of high-stakes decisions across investments, taxes, estate design, liquidity, and family priorities.
My role is to help bring structure, clarity, and follow-through — so you are not making those decisions in isolation or under pressure.
    Who This Is For
    • Families who want a clear planning partner for complex wealth decisions

    • Business owners balancing company risk with the family’s balance sheet

    • Households thinking about estate plans, gifting, and next-generation conversations

    • Clients who want tax-aware investing and selective access to private markets

    • Anyone whose financial life has more moving parts than a single brokerage account
    What We Work On
    1. Clarity on the full picture
Goals, cash needs, risk, entities, and what “enough” looks like for your household.

    2. Investment strategy that serves the plan
A portfolio built around your plan — with public markets as the core and private markets when they fit.

    3. Tax-aware decisions
Coordinate with your CPA so investment moves, distributions, and liquidity events are framed with tax impact in mind. I do not replace your tax advisor. I make sure the investment plan does not fight the tax plan.

    4. Estate planning and family dynamics
Work alongside your estate attorney so investment structure and estate design reinforce each other. Support the family conversations that often matter as much as the documents — timing, fairness, communication, and next-generation readiness.

    5. Business owners and liquidity
    See the dedicated section below.

    6. Liquidity and balance sheet
Cash reserves, lending options, and protection tools when the plan needs them — not as a product push.

    7. Ongoing review
When markets shift or life changes, we revisit the plan on purpose.
    Business Owners
Running a company is different from managing the wealth it creates. I work with more business owners than ever before, and the work usually centers on:

    • Separating business risk from family balance-sheet risk

    • Pre-liquidity planning — what you own, what you will need, and what to clean up before a sale or partial liquidity event

    • Turning a liquidity event into a durable long-term plan — not a pile of cash and a scramble

    • Managing concentrated stock or company exposure with a clear diversification path

    • Coordinating with your tax advisor, attorney, and (when relevant) transaction advisors so the first 12–24 months after a sale do not undo the win

    • Building a post-sale investment plan that can include traditional markets and, when suitable, private markets

If you are still in growth mode — not exiting — we still plan: personal cash flow, retirement readiness outside the business, estate design, and reducing the odds that one company is your entire net worth.

Enemy In the Mirror Part II
In Part I of this letter, I walked through five of the most common psychological traps I see clients fall into — loss aversion, recency bias, overconfidence, the disposition effect, and panic selling. Those five are largely emotional in nature: fear, regret, the urge to act when standing still would serve us better.
