    • Barbara Yee was invited to attend the 2015 Barron’s Winner’s Circle Top 100 Women Financial Advisor Summit and she was a member of the 2015 President’s Council and had been nominated for the Global Circle of Excellence with her prior firm.In addition to being an award recipient, Barbara was one of approximately 550 financial advisors who were selected by their firms to attend the ninth annual Barron’s Top Women Advisors Summit, hosted by Barron’s magazine to promote best practices in the industry and the value of advice to the investing public.

      The invitation-only conference was held at The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL from December 3rd to 5th. The exclusive conference was designed to promote best practices and generate new ideas across the industry.

      Participants attended workshops, led by the Top 100 Women Financial Advisors, which explored current issues ranging from business development ideas through managing high-net-worth accounts and families to portfolio management and retirement planning.

    About Me

    Barbara Yee is the founder of NY Pine Group at Morgan Stanley. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, she works with clients to develop holistic, cross-border solutions for individual and family wealth accumulation, preservation and wealth transfer. As a Family Wealth Advisor, Barbara oversees all family wealth planning with a focus on trust and estate advisory services, liability management and asset management strategies. She takes special care to educate her clients, providing them with top notch resources and ideas around family office planning.

    Barbara began her career on Wall Street working with institutional clients and high net worth individuals and families. Prior to starting her tenure as a wealth advisor, Barbara was a director at AIG where she managed a $270Bn portfolio. Her team also developed sophisticated investment strategies to effectively manage risk in volatile market conditions. She draws from her wealth of knowledge and experiences to guide her clients in making the right decisions to achieve their personal and professional goals.

    Barbara was named to Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors in 2019). She has been invited to attend the Barron’s Top Women Advisors Summit every year since 2005.

    Barbara currently resides in New York City with her husband and two daughters. She is actively involved with community and non-profit organizations, having previously held board positions with Hamilton-Madison House, China Aids Fund, American Cancer Society NY, and Lower Manhattan YMCA. Her hobbies include golf, skiing and snowboarding. Barbara holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Cooper Union and an M.B.A. in Finance & Accounting from Columbia University.

    About Me

    Singman Siu is a Financial Advisor and International Client Advisor with NY Pine Group at Morgan Stanley. A lawyer by training (currently non-practicing), Singman advises clients on trust and estate planning strategies and structures for wealth preservation and wealth transfer. As the director of equity portfolio construction and portfolio management, he works closely with clients to develop tailored investment solutions to address their objectives. He takes care to ensure his clients are taking full advantage of Morgan Stanley’s robust research capabilities and investment platform. Singman uses an analytical approach to portfolio management, leveraging market data and trends to strategically and tactically manage clients’ investments in order to help them achieve their investment goals.

    Singman has over 10 years of experience trading commodities, including oil and gas, on a large scale for a major utilities company. During his tenure there, he was also responsible for due diligence, evaluating physical assets of companies and conducting in-depth risk analyses.

    Singman earned his B.S. degree from Cooper Union, M.S. degree from Columbia University and J.D. from New York Law School. He is a registered Professional Engineer and has been admitted to the New York Bar. Singman is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, snowboarding, cooking and collecting books.

    About Me

    As a Financial Advisor with NY Pine Group, Michelle Huang works closely with families to navigate multi-generational wealth planning, financial education and planning for future generations. She focuses on working with clients to introduce them to Morgan Stanley’s top tier open-architecture platform and develop diversified investment solutions incorporating fixed income strategies, alternative investments and insurance solutions. Her success stems from her incredible patience and ability to listen and communicate clearly with her clients.

    Michelle is a graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Operations Research and Information Engineering. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Michelle worked at various start-ups, both pre- and post-IPO, where she was responsible for managing data tools and analytics to help business teams make smarter data-driven business decisions. She worked closely with executives to develop robust revenue models and financial analyses to identify opportunities and drive business development. With her background in big data and technology, she is able to offer a unique perspective to wealth management and financial planning.

    Born and raised in New Jersey, Michelle is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. Michelle loves the outdoors and can often be found hiking and camping with her dog, Jax. She is also a competitive long distance runner. While she isn’t training for a race, Michelle enjoys playing tennis, scuba diving, cooking and traveling. She is passionate about education and mentorship and is an active Mentor Coach with America Needs You.

    Shirley Chan draws on over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to help clients with their wealth management needs. Her primary focus is supporting the team's daily operations, overseeing client relations and aiding clients with their daily financial needs including cash management and lending solutions. Shirley also assists with the execution of asset allocation strategies and portfolio management trading.

    Shirley is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. In her spare time, Shirley enjoys listening to music, working on DIY projects, and travelling.

    Karen Yu focuses on supporting clients with their day-to-day needs, delivering a high standard of personalized service. She also supports the team’s daily operations, leading the team’s marketing efforts and performing market research.

    Karen currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. She is passionate about traditional Chinese art and Chinese calligraphy. She also enjoys spending time with her younger sister and their lovely dog, Diamond.
