Nicky Rudd

Making your life run smoothly takes the active participation of people who are committed to the same goals as you. Whether you’re a busy executive, energetic retiree, or full-time parent, you understand the value of working with advisors who have a particular knowledge, set of credentials, or relevant experience. Advisors who take the time to understand your needs and goals in order to create customized and well-thought-out plans. Advisors who believe it’s important to educate you so you can be an active participant in the important decisions of your life.

Nothing is more important to me than fostering long-term relationships with my clients that are predicated on trust and performance. Since 1998, I have worked with smart, sophisticated individuals, families, executives, business owners and philanthropic organizations who have relied on me to help them protect what they have worked so hard to earn. I follow a disciplined process to make sure every result and each potential risk is identified and quantified. Because wealth accumulation, whether earned or inherited, is not a simple business.  And protecting it is even harder.

I have a well-rounded background, with an MBA in Finance from Villanova University and a BS from Syracuse University, as well as the advanced designations of CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM), and CIMA® (Certified investment Management AnalystSM). These designations indicate that I have a comprehensive understanding of the entire retirement planning process, as well as sophisticated investment knowledge pertaining to the complex needs of families and institutional investors. Simply put, I have the knowledge, credentials and experience to understand the whole picture of your situation and to build a comprehensive plan to match it.

My Clients

Women & Wealth
I really enjoy working with my female clients. They are smart, competent and compassionate people. Many of them are successful businesspeople, juggling multiple tasks as they advance their professions, manage households, and keep a watchful eye over their children. Women also tend to hold a different perspective around investing than men. While men are often focused on numbers and the bottom line, women want to understand their investments in the context of the big picture of their life. This is a perspective that I deeply understand and enjoy providing. I focus on the well-being of a client’s entire family, knowing that every decision we make together may impact many people.

Together, we work to answer their most pressing questions, both immediate and long-term:

What does the new tax law mean to my investments?
How can I maximize my employment benefits?
How soon can I retire?
How long will the money last?
Will it allow me to continue in the same kind of lifestyle?
How can I best safeguard my children and grandchildren’s future?

The solutions my clients need may be simple or sophisticated. Either way, I have the credentials, specialized resources and analytical tools to focus on each client’s unique goals and needs, manage their complexity and offer customized strategies and solutions to address their specific needs.
Executives & Business Owners
Successful leaders understand the need to make objective business decisions based on sound, rational thinking. My technical training as a structural engineer lends itself naturally to process-based thinking. I am able to tap into that way of thinking, as well as my experience as a national sales manager in a Fortune 500 firm, to help you understand the extraordinary complexity of executive compensation, or the myriad details of growing your business, selling your business, working with a partner, or managing the complex dynamics of a family business.

Executive compensation, bonuses, deferred compensation, stock options and restricted stock are some of the issues around which I help my professional clients to successfully strategize. My business owner clients work with me to understand how to manage their assets when their business accounts for the lion’s share of their personal wealth. Over the years, I have provided my business clients with astute financial counsel. I help you to pursue meaningful objectives while I shepherd the finances that can help allow you to do so. I am honored by my clients’ trust and confidence and I strive to reward your trust by providing outstanding and authentic service and straightforward, objective advice.

Philanthropy

Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals, foundations and non-profit organizations to help them navigate the complex world of philanthropy. Many of my individual donors have shifted from just making grants to taking a more active role. As a Financial Advisor, I go the extra mile in helping you sort through some of the problems and challenges that follow your decision to move beyond writing checks to hands-on involvement in a cause that touches your heart. I help you avoid making errors that could blunt the impact you have on your chosen cause and cause you to spend more than you can afford in trying to correct those missteps.

I also assist quite a few non-profit organizations in a number of ways. Serving on the board of a charitable organization offers a priceless opportunity to change the world for the better. It also means making tough choices. Not every valuable program can be supported and not every exciting grant proposal can be funded. I help my institutional clients to see these choices from a financial and business perspective. I also help them balance today’s spending needs, which may be urgent, against tomorrow’s needs, which may be unpredictable.

Like many of my clients, I offer not only financial support, but active participation to a number of causes. Here is a partial list:
