Meet Nancy Young

Nancy is a First Vice President and Financial Advisor who has worked with clients for more than two generations. Her primary focus is always on the clients, their families and their goals. Economic cycles come and go and markets can seem confounding. But True North is grounded in the trust that a client places in her. With that as the foundation, all the resources and intellectual power of Morgan Stanley is available to build and refine a plan over time that leads to achieving the goals each family sets. And there is no greater satisfaction than living through such experiences.

Nancy began at Morgan Stanley and its predecessor in 1983, having worked previously at two storied Wall Street firms: Blyth, Eastman Dillon and LF Rothschild, Unterberg Towbin where she learned the municipal bond market and witnessed the early days of Silicon Valley and the IPO of Genentech. Nancy's undergraduate degree is in German and French Languages and Literatures earned at the College of Mount St Vincent in New York. Her graduate studies were in theology, an M.A.at Marquette University, Milwaukee, and in early childhood education, an M.A. at the Institute for Psychoanalysis in Chicago. She received her CFP certification from the College for Financial Planning and her CIMA designation from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Nancy lives in Chicago with her husband, Webster Young. Nancy's love of architecture is expressed in her 25 years as a River Tour docent with the Chicago Architecture Center. She works to celebrate achievements of young people, with her service to the Leader Council of Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. For 23 years she has marked their 100% graduation rate at Mercy Home. And in her free time, you'll find Nancy at live events: relishing Chicago's world class theater and symphony. Her favorite times to drop in at the Art Institute and the MCA are late afternoons. And most mornings an early start at the gym. Nancy reads fiction and supports independent bookstores. She's a coop member of the Seminary Coop Bookstores at the University of Chicago and is often seen at Mad Street Books.
