Biography of
Michael C. Bernard
Financial Advisor-Morgan Stanley

Mike Bernard began his career as an independent floor trader at The Chicago Board Options Exchange in
1992. During his time as a trader he was able to not only survive, but thrive in an ever-changing
landscape over the course of two decades. Mike came away with a technical understanding of both
equity and fixed-income markets, how they trade and what drives them. He also learned an invaluable
skill set relative to managing a portfolio: Mitigating risk is critical.

The one aspect missing from his time spent on the trading floor was relationship building. In 2013 he
changed roles and became a financial advisor at Wells Fargo, joining Morgan Stanley in 2017.
As a financial advisor, Mike forms meaningful relationships with existing clients, referrals and
prospective clients. He focuses on wealth management utilizing a process-driven,
client-centric and collaborative approach. Mike and his branch colleagues like to say, “We work with
our clients, not for them.”

Outside of the office, Mike is an avid fisherman, boater, golfer and enjoys coaching youth, particularly in
baseball and soccer. During his time in Chicago he coached teams, commissioned leagues and sat on the
Welles Park Parents Association (WPPA) Board over a ten-year period. More recently he has volunteered
with Big Brother’s Big Sister’s in their Lunch Buddy’s program.

Mike received his bachelor’s in urban planning and development from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. He lives in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and has three boys-Zach, Ethan and Luke.

    Vicky Brunner is a Senior Registered Client Service Associate. She started her investment industry career in August 1999 at Robert W Baird. February 2001 she moved to Morgan Stanley and in 2004 received her Series 7 and 66 licenses. Vicky is usually the first line of contact assisting clients with their day-to-day financial requests. Responsibilities include on-boarding new clients, processing new accounts, asset transfers, clients’ everyday needs and office administrative duties. Vicky enjoys getting to know her clients and helping to resolve issues they may have.
    Vicky holds a Bachelor of Science – Health Promotion Wellness degree from UW-Stevens Point. In her free time she enjoys running, yoga and spending time outside with family in their butterfly garden.
