My Story

Michael has been a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firms for over 36-years. During this time, he has witnessed many unique business cycles, worked with a wide array of clientele, all with different needs, and has advised his clients through the various stages of their life from accumulation to distribution to generational wealth transfer. Michael never intended to become a Financial Advisor but after graduating college with a degree in engineering he realized that he had particular insight into developing strategies to complex problems while monitoring risk. These skills differentiated him from the onset of his career as an advisor and he has never looked back.

Over the decades Michael has built a successful practice advising very successful families and business owners. He prides himself on truly understanding the unique aspects of each of his client’s financial goals, as well as their definitions of what success means. The centerpiece of his relationships are based around the creation of a financial plan that helps define goals, sets expectations, and delivers a roadmap towards potential success. Michael’s experience, married with state of the art resources and the global reach of Morgan Stanley, helps him to align his clients personal and financial goals.

Michael is very involved in his church and various mission work. He also donates his time and passion for photography to several local charities. He is happily married to his wife of 37-years and has two grown sons.

5Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
