My Welcome Message

With more than 30 years as an investment professional, my approach is simple: I believe you deserve in-depth, thoughtful wealth management aimed specifically at your priorities and values. I believe you deserve someone who pays attention to the details and works with your other financial service providers. I believe you deserve someone who can earn your confidence through consistently acting with integrity.

These principles, combined with the comprehensive research, analytics and products from one of the world’s largest financial firms, results in comprehensive wealth management based on experience, confidence, and a clear understanding of your goals.

Experience

I bring more than 30 years of financial services experience to my role as a Financial Advisor. After graduating from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, with a degree in Management, I worked for several years as a Financial Advisor for securities firm Kidder, Peabody & Co. I joined Morgan Stanley in 1994.

While always maintaining my status as an active Financial Advisor, I have also had the opportunity to hold several leadership roles in the St. Paul Branch of Morgan Stanley, including Assistant Branch Manager (1999-2009) and Branch Manager (2009-2018). In that capacity, I collaborated with Financial Advisors to help them deliver an outstanding experience to their clients, both in terms of experience and personal service. I also provided overall leadership and assumed accountability for the success of the branch.

In 2018, I stepped back from my role as St. Paul Branch Manager to focus on what I love—providing comprehensive wealth management for individual clients, families and business owners. My greatest professional satisfaction comes from helping those people reach their financial goals and live a life that is meaningful to them.

Family
My wife, Laurie, and I have been married for more than 25 years and have two daughters. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, running the occasional marathon, and spending time at the lake.

My process takes a 360 degree view of your wealth. This leads to strategies that are not only designed to help reach specific financial targets, but are reflective of who you are and how you ultimately want to share your wealth.

Step 1: Discovery & Goal Setting
Let's begin with a thorough discussion to explain and ascertain your needs, wants, and values. It is important that I have a thorough understanding of various facets of your life that affects your financial goals and decisions. Every financial strategy should be unique because everyone is different.
    Icon Image
Step 2: Analysis, Strategy & Planning
To conduct a full assessment of your financial situation, I make use of a range of financial planning and risk analysis tools. I then implement up a comprehensive financial plan that can help you accumulate, preserve, and transfer wealth in line with your objectives.
    Icon Image
    Step 3: Implementation
Your assets will be transferred to Morgan Stanley once you give your approval. We start implementing the additional techniques we described in your plan once they are in line with your tailored investment strategy.
    Icon Image
    Step 4: Ongoing Monitoring
My relationship with you is extremely important, and I want to keep it that way. I communicate with clients frequently to provide account updates. Additionally, I keep tabs on how well you're doing in achieving each of your objectives and adjust your financial plan as need when your circumstances change.

    Private Real Estate

Private real estate is an investment in the active management of institutional quality real estate properties for the purpose of generating current income and/or long-term appreciation.

    Exchange Fund

An exchange fund is a special-purpose vehicle that offers holders the ability to diversify their investments by exchanging stock positions, oftentimes in highly appreciated or restricted stock, for shares of a diversified portfolio. Contributions of appreciated stock to a properly structured exchange fund are not taxable under current federal law.
