Matt is an Executive Director and Family Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley. He graduated from LeMoyne College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Business/Finance.
Matt has been working in all phases of the investment business since 1997. Upon finishing his college internship at Dean Witter Reynolds, Mike Figler asked Matt to join his team. Over the years, Matt’s primary role has been working on portfolio analysis, equity and fixed income trading, annuity and insurance. In 2012 Matt was conferred the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™(TM). In 2016, he achieved the designation of Family Wealth Advisor as part of Morgan Stanleys’ inaugural class.
Matt works closely with individuals, families and businesses to understand the unique challenges and opportunities that each client faces throughout their lives. He believes strongly that once we are able to find the purpose of one’s financial goals we are able to customize solutions and investments that are coordinated. Matt believes that financial planning is a cornerstone to any client relationship. “When we can sit down with a client and truly understand what they are hoping to accomplish, allow them to share their concerns and challenges, assess all of their unique financial decisions and develop a sound, well thought out detailed plan, it provides a great starting point for my relationship with my clients.”
Matt lives in central New York area with his wife, Samantha and two sons, Elijah and Owen. He coaches local youth sports teams and is a founding member of Lukie’s SOUL (a Childrens Miracle Network charity). In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing music, golf and anything that keeps him moving.

Meredith Figler was born and raised in Fayetteville, New York and has worked in the Financial Industry since 2005. Meredith is responsible for providing outstanding service and support to our clients, including new account relationships and client communication.
Along with her involvement with Women in Wealth at Morgan Stanley), she also spends her time volunteering for the Make A Wish Foundation. In her free time, Meredith enjoys traveling and spending time with family, friends and her dog Buddy.

Kathy began her career in the Financial Industry in 1987 with Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. She currently holds both the Series 7 and 63 Securities License. Kathy provides quality support to a wide range of individual and corporate clients. Kathy manages administrative functions while providing exceptional client service, reporting and education.
Kathy lives in Cicero with her husband Kevin and two sons, Joshua and Jordan. She enjoys watching her boys play hockey and lacrosse, spending quality time with family and friends, attending Paint Nite events and gardening.

About John Bergan
John is a Business Development Associate at Morgan Stanley. Originally from Camillus, New York, John graduated from West Genesee Highschool and was a member of the Varsity Hockey & Lacrosse Teams. He graduated from Le Moyne College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Business Analytics. As a senior, John received the Frank and Margaret Ahrens Memorial Medal in General Business, which is awarded to the senior in the finance program who graduates with the highest overall GPA. While at Le Moyne College, John was four-year member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team and won the 2021 Division II National Championship.
John has been working in all phases of the investment business since 2021. John was a summer intern at JP Morgan Private Bank. He returned as a full time Private Banking Analyst in the Philadelphia office in 2022, then got promoted to Associate in 2024. During John’s time at J.P Morgan, he focused on investment management, banking, lending, and financial & estate planning strategies with ultra-high net worth individuals, non-profit organizations, and institutions in the Mid-Atlantic Region. In March of 2025, John joined Morgan Stanley, becoming a part of the Frechette Butler Group.

Because everyone’s situation is different, John is helpful in creating customized solutions to help each client reach their goals. John’s extensive skillsets and strong analytical background help him guide clients’ financial situations through all phases of life.
