Morgan Stanley Client Service

My Philosophy:

I'm not an advocate of one-size-fits-all solutions. While clients often share common problems, each brings a unique blend of means and temperament. Your portfolio should fit you, and success should be measured by progress toward your goals. My clients aren't numbers on a page. They're real people--with messy lives, expensive hobbies, smart kids, ailing relatives, scruffy dogs, demanding jobs, and all the other things that make life unpredictable and make planning important. Hire me as an outside voice offering honest, practical guidance.

I enjoy helping:
  • Couples who increasingly find their own financial needs sandwiched between those of their aging parents and growing children
  • Busy professionals who want to delegate the details of investment management
  • Hard-working earners who are nearing retirement and want reassurance that they're on the right path and assistance staying there
  • Individuals who suddenly find themselves with a lump sum of money such as: profits from selling real estate or a business; insurance proceeds; or the one-in-a-million win from choosing lucky lottery numbers
  • Seniors in transition who want to minimize stress on their loved ones
  • Clients seeking an advisor who can offer solutions across muliple categories such as financial planning, investment management, insurance, lending, etc.
Services Include
Securities Agent: WA, VA, TX, HI, IA, WY, MT, IN, CA, AK, NV, FL, AZ, UT, OR, ID, GA; General Securities Representative; Investment Advisor Representative

Working With You

Tab Image
My process starts with conversation. You tell me about your goals, concerns, and the factors that impact them. That might mean talking about your aging parents, your career aspirations, your desire to have a house on the beach in retirement, and more.

I'll tell you about myself, my approach, and the resources at Morgan Stanley that support them. We should talk about pricing and the level of service that best fits your needs.

That step is followed by data gathering and review. I'll ask to see copies of statements for your current investment accounts and other relevant financial information and have you fill out a profile form. Often I will complete a financial plan to better assess your situation and develop a strategy for moving forward.

Once we've agreed on an investment plan, I'll implement. Then we continue to review and adjust over time to make sure our strategy continues to match your life.
Below are Morgan Stanley resources that update in real time. Feel free to check out the links below as they may be beneficial to you or someone you know, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Personal Interests

I took a learn to row class several years ago and I fell in love with the sport. I'm a member, and Past President, of the Spokane River Rowing Association. I also love taking walks around Spokane, working out in the gym, and wobbling my way through yoga classes. My love of physical activity helped me to recover after suffering a serious accident in 2020. (When I emphasize planning, it's because I know from personal experience just how easily and unexpectedly life can go off-track.)

I formerly served on the board of the Spokane Public Library Foundation and I'm a sustaining member of the Junior League of Spokane. Both organizations have a focus on community sustenance and literacy support. As an avid reader and firm believer in community involvement, those causes are easy for me to promote.
Desert Sprints - March 2024
While I was in Tempe, I participated in Desert Sprints, a US Rowing-sanctioned regatta held on Sunday March 3rd, 2024.

These are 1000m sprint races on a 6-lane, buoyed course on Tempe Town Lake. I met up with rowing friends from CA, CO, and WA and the four of us raced in the Women’s double and Women’s quad competitions.

We were dead last in our quad competition as the wind/current turned us off-course immediately prior to the start. My double partner and I missed out on 3rd place in our flight by less than a tenth of a second.

Regardless, it was a fun competition and a beautiful day. We were also lucky enough to enjoy a lovely evening at the Desert Botanical Garden afterwards!
Vacation to South Dakota - July 2024
Took a brief break at the end of July for family fun in South Dakota with my parents, all three brothers, and some of my sisters-in-laws and nieces/nephews. We didn't make it to Mount Rushmore, but did enjoy the mini version at Reptile Gardens among other local tourist locales. My mother brought enough baked goods to feed us for a month and the weekend was full of cutthroat card games, beautiful scenery, and lots of laughter.
The PNW Pink Ribbon Row - September 2024
On September 22nd, I had the pleasure of participating for the 3rd year in a row in the PNW Pink Ribbon Row in Seattle. The event is a fundraiser for Rowing Cares, an organization that supports local foundations focused on early detection of breast cancer and providing resources for diagnosed patients. It was a beautiful day to be on the water!
Walla Walla Training Event - September 2024
I had the pleasure of joining other Morgan Stanley advisors from Eastern Washington and Idaho for a two-day training event in Walla Walla at the end of September (Photos are from the drive down). We started easy with networking and wine-tasting on Thursday night, but then moved into a great presentation on business development during dinner, and a packed schedule of speakers on Friday. I came away with a couple of new ideas to deploy for clients and a great appreciation of the resources that Morgan Stanley puts into the wealth management business.
Client Trip in Tuscon - January 2025
Took a weekend vacation to Tucson in January to get a little sunshine (Spokane has notoriously grey winters). I stopped to visit clients in Phoenix for a couple of days (I really enjoy seeing where clients live), and then drove to Tucson. It was my first trip there. Had a great time visiting Saguaro National Park West and the Gates Pass Scenic Lookout (pictured at sunrise), and checking out the local food scene. Even saw some javelina from a distance. I’m now missing the 70 degree weather as we’re having a cold snap in Spokane.
