Our Story and Services

Our clients are a diverse group of individuals and families committed to financial success. They have accumulated wealth and seek professional asset management. Each client approaches us with unique challenges, concerns, and goals, and it’s our job to determine the best financial path forward.

Wealth management of this caliber requires the highest level of attention, knowledge, and resources. That’s why our clients turn to us. We, like them, bring a deep level of commitment to everything we do, and it starts with our relationships. We treat our clients like family, offering a comprehensive model that addresses every aspect of their financial life.

From both sides of the equation, we understand the unique challenges of high and ultra-high net worth: The tax implications. The estate planning. The obstacles business owners face. In fact, we’ve taken on many of these challenges in our own financial lives which means we provide guidance backed by both professional and personal experience.

Whether for you, your family or your business––we’re prepared to help you handle your complex financial lives, overcome your every challenge, and achieve your every goal.
We Believe...
  • In protecting you and your family for generations to come. We’re in the stay-rich business, not the get-rich business
  • In simplicity guided by experience. We want to streamline your financial plan, not cloud it in complexity
  • That proactiveness is our duty
  • That farming out your assets to third parties does you a disservice; that’s why we manage all client assets ourselves
  • In going beyond the obvious, collaborating with our clients to find creative, effective solutions
  • The multigenerational nature of high net worth requires a special type of long term financial planning

What We Do

Our guiding principle: Simplicity guided by experience.

We take a family office approach so that your financial strategy is not only coordinated, but comprehensive. We are hands on, have extraordinary customer service and go above and beyond to get the answers you need to help you achieve your goals.
Complexity Welcome:
Here’s something you don’t hear often: the more complicated your situation is, the better we are for you. We pride ourselves on taking the complex and simplifying it for our clients. After all, the members of our team come from exceptional backgrounds and are well-equipped to do so: Some have run (and sold) companies, others have been heavily involved in corporate finance, and also been involved in mergers and acquisitions. With this deeply-rooted financial experience along with our portfolio management acumen, we’re well-positioned to handle sophisticated clients with complicated financial lives.
Concierge Care:
We believe in providing concierge-level care. Whenever you need us, we’re here. And our team is not just reactive. We are proactive, reaching out to you when we spot a gap, an opportunity or a market event. These are just a few of the reasons that our clients often tell us how impressed they are with our financial insights and level of personal attention.
Financial Planning:
How do we do it? We start by getting to know who you are, what you do, and what makes you tick. We’ll ask about your family and your specific life goals. We’ll then delve into the numbers, reviewing your estates, investments, cash flow and identifying any gaps or updates that need to be addressed. Next, we’ll connect the dots. How can we create a financial plan that gets you where you want to be? Maybe you want to establish your residency in Florida, or perhaps you need to take a closer look at transferring wealth to your children, grandchildren, and beyond. We’ll work with your attorney and accountant so our plan is coordinated, and we won’t stop until the result fits your vision.
Investment Philosophy:
We enjoy digging into the details of evaluation and analysis that goes into choosing equities and bonds in today’s fast-paced market. In terms of our investment philosophy, we believe in managing all of your assets personally. This allows us to offer you complete transparency, maintain a holistic view of your financial picture and keep you informed about the intricacies of your investments.

Our Clients

Our clients expect from us what they expect from themselves: excellence. Each of them has accumulated wealth and seeks professional asset management. They understand the value of a carefully designed process, and of a team that makes them feel, in their own words, “like a family member.”

We work with many multigenerational families. We’re honored to serve the 2nd and 3rd generation of many clients, guiding them through important life stages with an intimate knowledge of their family’s shared values and legacy goals.

When it comes to your money, every decision matters. We don’t take your trust lightly; instead, we work to earn it every day. Our team is your second set of eyes and ears, and we’ll be there to guide you through every challenge – and success – in your financial future.

Florida Residency

The Sunshine State has so much more to offer than sun and fun. Having a Florida domicile can offer several significant tax benefits compared to other states. The two most obvious are the lack of income tax and the lack of estate tax. But leveraging these advantages can be difficult. The process is rife with logistical and bureaucratic complexities, and your current state may even challenge the relocation with an audit.

At Malatino & Associates, we’ve built a team to help guide you through every step of the process. We’ll work hand-in-hand with your accountant and tax attorney to help keep the transition efficient and comprehensive. If needed, we can offer referrals to Florida providers, accountants, and tax attorneys to assist you.

For decades, we’ve been helping retirees, business owners and families leverage all that Florida has to offer. We know what it takes, and we look forward to helping you achieve a seamless transition.
