About Susan Lubar
Susan Lubar is dedicated to helping build and manage the wealth of her clients and finds great satisfaction in guiding them through the planning stages to help reach their desired outcome. She serves successful professionals in the medical, legal and educational fields, as well as non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and philanthropists. These individuals are focused on the demands of their careers and want to collaborate with a strong financial team with access to the global resources of Morgan Stanley to help build and manage their wealth. She leads a team of advisors, diverse in age, gender and professional skill sets, that can develop personalized investment strategies to fit each client’s situation and risk profile.
Clients can expect Susan and her team to build long-term relationships that encourage open communication. She uses a straightforward approach to planning that begins by listening to understand each client’s personal, professional and philanthropic priorities. She then creates a comprehensive, prioritized plan to help the client achieve their goals. Clients receive ongoing guidance to monitor their progress and make any refinement necessary due to changes in their circumstances or to adjust for market conditions. Susan understands that true success for her clients is about their life and the things they deeply value, such as their relationships, interests and goals that bring them joy, and these vital elements are at the heart of each client’s plan.
For more than 40 years, Susan has helped clients reach their financial goals and strives to become a trusted advisor, capable of guiding clients through turmoil and trepidation while helping to grow and protect their assets. Susan joined Smith Barney, a predecessor firm to Morgan Stanley, in 1981, and through hard work and successful client relationships, she rose to become the Branch Manager of the Madison WI office in 1986–1991. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin.
Susan is a leader in her community and generously volunteers her time and experience to improve the lives of others. In 1999, she was a founding member of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Madison, WI, serving several consecutive terms on the Board of Directors and then the Advisory board. In 2013, she served as one of the Honorary Chairs of the Race for the Cure in South Central Wisconsin, where 75% of the funds raised stay in the community to fight breast cancer. Susan was also a founding member of the International Women’s Forum-Wisconsin chapter serving as President of that organization for over 10 years. She has served on the Boards of United Way, the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association and Athletic Board. She is currently serving on the Boards of The First Tee of South Central Wisconsin, By Women For Women Inc., and the University of Wisconsin Research Park.
When Susan is not volunteering, she enjoys golfing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
