About Paul Derrick

Paul began his investment career as a Financial Advisor with the Merrill Lynch, Syracuse office in 1993, where he developed his fundamental investment philosophy and knowledge. He joined Prudential Securities (now known as Wells Fargo Financial Advisors) in 1998. In 2001, Paul became a Registered Operations Principal by completing an approved educational program, passing a rigorous examination and meeting stringent experience requirements. This enabled Paul to fulfill both the management and financial advisor roles in the industry. In June, 2012, Paul joined the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management office in Syracuse an currently is the resident manager in the Skaneateles, NY office.

As your financial advisor, Paul makes it his commitment to develop a valued relationship with you. About Dana Derrick

I settled in Syracuse after graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Labor and Industrial Relations. Prior to graduating, I had the opportunity to live in a number of beautiful and interesting areas across our country as well as the far-east. It was through the opportunity to travel that I developed my love of culture and exploration - my interest in the human element. While people are all alike across the globe; we are at the same time unique – there is an often unspoken need to be listened to and valued as such.

I began in the financial services industry at Merrill Lynch in 1993. It was there that I met my husband, Paul. In 1998, I stepped away for a period of time to focus on raising our children. In 2007, I returned to financial services in a part-time capacity and then in 2013 full time. Prior to joining Paul and Chad, I worked with institutional money markets and then in operations at a private broker-dealer.

I joined the Long Lake Group and Morgan Stanley because I wanted to make a difference in clients’ lives. I feel that with the evolution of technology and information access (while there have been many benefits) we have diminished the value of the human element. It became clear that by joining the Long Lake Group, I could help others achieve their goals and at the same time fill my need to grow.

We at Long Lake Group believe that only by putting you first can we ultimately be successful. Our business model is grounded in comprehensive financial planning, investment and risk management. We seek to provide to you the highest levels of service in the industry, utilizing Morgan Stanley’s depth of resources and intellectual capital. We believe strongly in building relationships, and through collaboration greater results can be achieved. This is how we work within the team and this is how we work with our clients.
