My Mission Statement
What is financial freedom to you? Financial freedom goes beyond money to include living with purpose, cultivating a healthy mind and body, or being able to pursue a passion without fear of the unknown or unexpected.
Welcome
Lisa Shelton is a Senior Vice President and Family Wealth Director at Morgan Stanley. Since 1999, she has guided accomplished professionals and families across generations, earning recognition by Forbes as one of America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors and a Best-in-State Wealth Advisor. As one of a select group of Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors having earned the prestigious designation of Family Wealth Director, Lisa is entrusted to work with some of the firm’s most complex client relationships.
Lisa’s entrepreneurial drive began early. At 18, she launched a successful real estate career and built her first home at 19. By 21, she had passed the Series 7 exam and entered the investment world with the same determination and discipline that fueled her start. That hands-on experience shaped her belief that true financial success comes not just from investments, but from anticipating challenges, seizing opportunities, and building strategies that endure across generations.
Today, Lisa brings that same energy to her clients. She focuses on helping those whose wealth brings layers of complexity—whether through business ownership, family transitions, or philanthropic goals. Known for simplifying what feels overwhelming, she helps clients uncover issues they may not see yet and creates thoughtful strategies that help give them clarity, freedom, and confidence.
With more than 25 years of experience, Lisa takes great pride in listening deeply, asking the right questions, and turning intricate situations into clear, actionable plans. While her experience is best applied to clients with multifaceted financial lives, her philosophy remains the same for every relationship: deliver trusted, personal guidance that empowers people to move forward with purpose.
Outside the office, Lisa is driven by the same curiosity that defines her professional life—seeking new outdoor family adventures, exploring the world through her lens as a photographer, staying fit, or indulging her competitive spirit on the golf course.

Who I Serve
“For families and individuals whose wealth brings complexity, I bring clarity, strategy, and a long-term vision.”
Wealth is never one-size-fits-all. The families and individuals I serve share a common thread: their financial lives are layered, complex, and constantly evolving. Whether through business ownership, executive compensation, real estate ventures, or philanthropic commitments, complexity creates both opportunity and challenge. Many of my relationships also span multiple generations, where family dynamics and legacy planning add an additional layer of intricacy. My role is to bring clarity and strategy to these situations, helping clients anticipate risks, simplify decisions, and confidently move forward.

Entrepreneurs
“Building a business is demanding — protecting and transitioning your wealth shouldn’t be.”
Entrepreneurs face unpredictable income, reinvestment demands, and the eventual challenge of succession or liquidity. I help align business and personal finances, structure for tax efficiency, and help you ensure years of work translate into long-term financial independence and family security.

Business Executives
“Your compensation package is complex — your wealth plan should be clear.”
Executives often juggle stock options, restricted shares, deferred comp, and incentive programs with significant tax implications. I integrate these moving parts into a clear strategy that is designed to maximize value, manage risk, and create long-term clarity for both retirement and legacy.

Real Estate Developers & Investors
“Concentration creates opportunity — and risk.”
Real estate brings unique challenges: concentrated positions, market cycles, financing needs, and liquidity pressures. I help developers and investors diversify wealth, manage risk, and build resilient strategies while preserving the entrepreneurial upside that drives success.

Philanthropists
“Your giving should reflect both your values and your vision.”
Philanthropy is most powerful when it’s structured with foresight and intention. I help clients design strategies using trusts, donor-advised funds, and foundations to maximize tax efficiency, expand impact, and create sustainable legacies of generosity.
