My Practice and Services

I believe you create your own success in life by working hard, taking calculated risks, and effectively managing those risks. I moved from a small town in Kentucky to San Diego over 10 years ago to build my future as a financial advisor and today manage wealth for small business owners and up-and-coming corporate executives who have benefited from taking similar risks in their own careers. I am committed to helping my clients preserve and grow their hard-earned wealth through concierge level service and by marshaling the vast resources and intellectual capital available at Morgan Stanley.

I started my wealth management career in 2011 at Fidelity Investments where I provided customer service and investment solutions. To work more closely with a dedicated group of clients, I relocated to an independent advisory firm in San Diego in 2013 and two years later moved on with another financial advisor to UBS. As a Senior Wealth Strategist at UBS, I managed all client relationships, provided comprehensive financial planning, and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner designation. I joined Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in 2019 and have continued to build my practice by enhancing those relationships and attracting new clients through positive referrals.

As a financial advisor, I believe it is important to focus on both preserving and growing my clients’ assets as well as managing their liabilities. On the investment side, I help my clients optimize their portfolios by time segmenting their money while following the tenets of modern portfolio theory. We also pay close attention to risk and turnover to help preserve capital and manage their tax exposure. Leveraging the wide range of investment solutions and service specialists available through Morgan Stanley and working closely with my clients’ CPAs and attorneys helps me to bring confidence and clarity to their financial lives.

The "4 Key Pillars" of my practice that clients most value are:

• Trust
• Collaboration
• Responsiveness & Proactive Relationships
• Constantly Striving for Excellence to Add Value

About Me:

I am a Kentucky native who grew up on a family farm and learned the value of hard work and a debt-free lifestyle at an early age. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Northern Kentucky University, which provided a solid foundation in financial planning that I have built upon over my career. My experience working at a high-end steakhouse in Cincinnati during college taught me the benefits of providing a high level of attention and service and has motivated me to always anticipate my clients’ needs before they ask for something. Away from work, I stay active with my dachshund, Kobe, exercising, and occasionally sneaking in a round of golf or some fishing.

My Passion and My Clients

I have a passion for serving successful individuals, families, and entrepreneurs as their personal CFO and financial coach, adding value beyond just investments. I offer transparent and objective advice and I am not afraid to have those tough conversations sometimes necessary to stay on track toward achieving your long-term goals.

Looking back, I derive my passion when thinking about my father having a simple surgery then almost passing away from complications when I was in high school. I didn't realize the full jeopardy my family was in at the time. Although my father was financially literate, self-directed, and the family patriarch who handled everything, it left my mother unprepared to confront tough emotional and financial decisions. Looking back, it’s apparent that this situation could potentially relate to anyone, including the entrepreneurs, young executives, individuals, and families I work with today. Having a personal CFO and financial coach can make a difference during the good and difficult times and increase your probability of success.

I maintain productive relationships with:

• Business Owners and Entrepreneurs

• Corporate Executives

• Women experiencing a significant life event such as a divorce, loss of a spouse, or a large inheritance

If I sound like the right fit for you, please reach out to me for a financial consultation.

Wealth Planning Capabilities:

Working with You

The trusted family doctor making house calls in the local community has become a rarity today but that is the mindset I bring to my client relationships. When you call with a question, I will almost always be the one picking up the phone and if you’re too busy to meet during the week, I am always available to get together on weekends or whenever your schedule allows.

I always strive to ensure that all of my clients have a financial plan and strategy that helps their wealth to stay on course so they can enjoy their lives. My frugal nature and experience as a CFP® have taught me that creating a budget is the cornerstone of effective financial planning. Our planning process together is comprehensive and develops over a series of meetings where I gather information on all facets of your life:

• We will discuss the short- and long-term goals for your wealth and review both your assets and liabilities.

• We will talk about your interests, your values and who you consider the important people in your life.

• And to do my best as your financial coach, I will also want to get to know the other players on your financial team like a CPA and a personal attorney.

After covering all this ground, we are well prepared to put together a financial plan and set realistic expectations for its implementation.

7Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan's investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan's flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan's investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state's own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state's tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
