Kurt Volk brings 25+ years of professional experience to families and not-for-profit entities. Kurt advises and collaborates with clients to construct and maintain customized asset allocation solutions. Kurt also provides expertise to holders of concentrated equity positions seeking tax-sensitive wealth preservation. Kurt actively manages mid and large cap equities and tax-exempt and taxable investment grade fixed income.
Kurt’s wealth management experience includes 24 years with Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns. Kurt began his career working with Ernst & Young’s audit practice. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Vanderbilt University, a B.S. in Accounting from Albright College and is a former practicing Certified Public Accountant.
In his spare time, Kurt enjoys watching his kids play sports and skiing with family and friends. Kurt is a member of Vanderbilt University’s Owen Emeritus Board, and has served on the fundraising committee for WriteBoston, a non-profit organization working to improve writing skills in Boston Public Schools.
