My Mission Statement
Providing clarity amidst uncertainty
About Me
Kurt focuses on customized wealth management services for private business owners, their companies and emerging affluent families on a national level. Through goals based planning, with an emphasis on behavioral coaching, Kurt helps to optimize the unique goals of his clients.
As part of a multi-generational business, Kurt incorporates a personal family perspective to his wealth management career. Being a second generation member on a team affords him the ability to draw on his personal experience when dealing with the complexity and emotions at play in a privately held, multi-generational business. Kurt has seen first-hand how family dynamics can impact the success and longevity of a business. Through these experiences, Kurt has learned what families can do to manage their business and assets to benefit both current and future generations.
At the cornerstone of his practice is developing comprehensive financial plans, always looking at the complete financial profile of clients before making any recommendations. This complex focus goes beyond investing, to encompass tax management strategies, lending and liability management, wealth transfer, wealth accumulation and pre-liquidity planning. Working with different generations of clients, Kurt can see a diverse group of businesses and families, all with different needs and goals.
Kurt graduated magna cum laude from RIT with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.
In his spare time, Kurt enjoys traveling with his wife Sarah, their son, Kai and daughter, Isla. He is also an avid skier and tennis player.

Behavioral Management
Behavioral Management
Investment performance is irrelevant if one does not have the mental fortitude to make the right decisions and more importantly avoid making the wrong decisions. No one can time the markets, pick the best stocks consistently nor forecast the economy with any accuracy. Therefore, behavior is the most important factor that will determine lifelong investment returns. I focus on the variables we can control. In order of importance, the variables are: faith, patience and discipline. That is my investment philosophy.
My investment approach is this: simple is better. In finance, complexity was designed to sell people what they want; the reality is that people come to me for advice. And I advise them on what they need not what they want. My philosophy and approach is the beginning of an understanding of what I do. Put aside the financial planning and investments. What is left is the true value I bring to my clients and that is behavioral coaching. If all we ever accomplish during our time working together is help you avoid making the biggest mistake of your financial life, then I have earned my keep and done my job.
I leave you with a quote that perfectly sums up my philosophy and the key to success, from a man much smarter than we all could dream to be: "If you're even a slightly above average investor who spends less than you earn, over a lifetime you cannot help but get very wealthy - if you're patient." - Warren Buffett
