We liken our role to a "financial concierge," assisting with all financial decisions. Our investment recommendations combine traditional research with the latest technology.         About Me

        John is the team’s Family Wealth Director. Less than 3% of Morgan Stanley advisors earn this designation as of August 2017. He focuses on providing high net worth families with a holistic wealth management plan covering lifestyle services, family governance, philanthropy management, and business succession planning.

        John is also the team's primary portfolio manager, implementing asset allocation strategies for our clients by concentrating on tactical and strategic asset management. He uses a specifically designed "bucket system" to align a client's objective with an effective asset allocation strategy.

        John leverages over 30 years of experience in financial services to consider investment vehicles from traditional stocks and mutual funds to Structured Investments, annuities, REITs, and alternative strategies. In 1980, he initiated the co-op program between Merrill Lynch and the University of Detroit. He joined the firm in operations and accounting, holding virtually every position in the office. He was recruited to join one of the first investment teams in the firm. In 2006, he and Denny left Merrill Lynch to found their team in Grosse Pointe, their hometown.

        John is a graduate of the University of Detroit, where he earned a B.A. in finance.

        John and his wife, Jane, have two married daughters, a son who is also a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley and two grandchildren. He is a member of Grosse Pointe Rotary and is active with other local charities and organizations. He is an active member and avid golfer at the Country Club of Detroit.

        About Me

        Denny is our team's primary financial planner and retirement planning advisor. He has extensive knowledge in annuity and insurance advice.

        Denny brings more than 40 years of experience in financial services. He worked at the family insurance firm, joining full time in 1972 after completing the John Hancock Marketing Management program. He was recruited by Merril Lynch in 1994 to serve as the estate planning and insurance specialist in Michigan, integrating financial planning into clients' portfolios. He teamed with John in 2000 at the Merril Lynch office in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

        Denny earned a degree in business administration from Bowling Green University, where he won the 1970 Scholar-Athlete Award as captain of the tennis team and a Division I varsity basketball player.

        Denny was a Marine Corps reservist for 6 years. He and his wife, Pam, are lifelong Grosse Pointe residents, and share 6 children and 8 grandchildren. Dennis is an avid tennis player and golfer at the Country Club of Detroit, and past director of Grosse Pointe War Memorial and Grosse Pointe Rotary.

        About Me

        Steve helps clients integrate an overall strategy into the various pieces of their financial lives. He incorporates the latest research in planning analytics, and also focuses on retirement planning. Steve is an advocate for using technology to serve client needs, using the LifeView platform, OneView, social media and other innovative tools.

        Steve has been in financial services since 1999, and has spent his entire career with Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firms.

        Steve is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

        He lives with his wife, Jessica, and their two children in Grosse Pointe. Steve is an avid squash player at the Detroit Athletic Club and enjoys running, hunting, and fishing.

        About Me

        Jack joined the team as a Financial Advisor in 2017. Jack graduated from the firm's Private Banking Advisor Associate program in 2016. In his role, he leveraged Morgan Stanley's lending and cash management capabilities to assist Financial Advisors and their clients with their liabilities. Through that role he transitioned into becoming a Financial Advisor with the firm. On the team he focuses on client acquisition and works with the firm's private bankers to help meet each client's unique needs.   

        Jack graduated from Albion College in 2012 with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell & Molecular Biology. He was a member of the varsity golf team, Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, and Habitat for Humanity. He was recruited by and attended Wayne State University's School of Medicine Immunology and Microbiology Ph.D. program. He had numerous studies throughout his research career. He wrote a study and was published in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery for studying the treatment of Type III Supracondylar Humerus Fractures in Children at the Children's Hospital of Michigan. In graduate school he studied the treatment of Traumatic Brain Injuries. While at Wayne State, he was recruited by Morgan Stanley for their private banking associate program and left graduate school for a career in finance.

        Jack lives in Grosse Pointe. He is a member of the St. John Hospital and Medical Center GUILD committee and a March of Dimes volunteer. He is an active member and avid golfer at the Country Club of Detroit and enjoys cooking.
