About Me

Kevin Ringdahl is a Financial Advisor and Vice President with Morgan Stanley in Minneapolis, Minn.

Kevin has spent his entire 21-year career in the securities industry with the firm and Smith Barney, a predecessor company of Morgan Stanley. Given this experience, he is adept at leveraging the firm’s global capabilities and vast resources for his clients’ advantage.

Born in North Dakota, Kevin serves a broad range of clients, from young professionals who seek to grow their wealth to retirees who want to preserve it throughout their leisure years. Kevin also focuses on individuals in the LBGTQ community.

Kevin focuses mainly on creating comprehensive financial plans. He takes the time to listen to his clients and crafts a custom strategy to help them achieve their unique goals within their time horizon. He takes great pride in his ability to describe esoteric financial subjects in easy-to-understand language and is always willing to answer questions so that his clients feel completely comfortable with his recommendations.

Every action taken by Kevin on behalf of investors is based on the highest level of integrity and professionalism. He doesn’t simply seek to build long-term relationships with clients; he wants to earn their trust so that they refer friends and family members to him. Kevin currently serves the children and grandchildren of several loyal long-time clients.

Kevin works diligently to provide excellent service. He keeps in touch with clients regularly and, when markets turn volatile, takes a proactive role in calling them to clearly describe reasons for the sharp movements. Thanks to his many contacts within Morgan Stanley, he is never short of sound ideas on how to turn market volatility into solid long-term investment opportunities.

Kevin is a graduate of Moorhead State University, where he earned a double major in Accounting and Business Administration. In addition to working as a Financial Advisor, he has been a Branch Manager helping other Financial Advisors build their practice. INVESTING WITH IMPACT

All types of investors are now considering sustainable investing in their investment decisions. To see how I explore and utilize sustainable investing in my practice, please see the resources linked below.

Disclosures: Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") investments in a portfolio may experience performance that is lower or higher than a portfolio not employing such practices. Portfolios with ESG restrictions and strategies as well as ESG investments may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as portfolios where ESG criteria is not applied. There are inconsistent ESG definitions and criteria within the industry, as well as multiple ESG ratings providers that provide ESG ratings of the same subject companies and/or securities that vary among the providers. Certain issuers of investments may have differing and inconsistent views concerning ESG criteria where the ESG claims made in offering documents or other literature may overstate ESG impact. ESG designations are as of the date of this material, and no assurance is provided that the underlying assets have maintained or will maintain and such designation or any stated ESG compliance. As a result, it is difficult to compare ESG investment products or to evaluate an ESG investment product in comparison to one that does not focus on ESG. Investors should also independently consider whether the ESG investment product meets their own ESG objectives or criteria. There is no assurance that an ESG investing strategy or techniques employed will be successful. Past performance is not a guarantee or a dependable measure of future results.

2Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
