My Story

As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Family Wealth Advisor, and Senior Portfolio Manager, I provide long-term investment management with a focus on retirement planning for high net worth individuals and their families, business owners, executives, and professionals.

My extensive knowledge and experience helps clients navigate the three basic stages of retirement: planning for retirement, transitioning to retirement, and maintaining a particular lifestyle during retirement. As a CFP®, I provide specialized knowledge to the process, adding counsel on tax planning, estate planning, investment management and insurance. In addition, as a Family Wealth Advisor, I help families communicate about money and values as they move through the retirement process, assisting them in preserving their wealth and ideals across generations.

As a member of The Bethesda Heritage team, one of my primary roles is to help direct investment management. I am responsible for analyzing client objectives and directing asset allocation, portfolio construction, and performance measurement. I leverage the intellectual capital and resources of Morgan Stanley to recommend strategic and tactical asset allocation policies and to select best of breed managers, ETF’s and alternative investments for the group’s clients.

I graduated from the University of Maryland and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. I am also a designee of the Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University. Prior to joining the financial services industry, I spent the better part of 15 years working in senior-level positions with start-ups and small-to-mid size companies including AppNet, CommerceOne, and NetStrategies.

Working with You

You can expect to be guided by a comprehensive, disciplined, and elegantly simple approach to investing that places you, your family, and your goals and dreams directly in the middle of an investment strategy and approach that aims to achieve:

  • Consistency with your individual and/or family goals
  • Accommodation for the varying degrees of risk that should be taken
  • Ability to provide the necessary liquidity
  • Objectivity in evaluating investment opportunities based on your best interests
These are the steps we follow:
  • 1) Conversation - At the first meeting, we take a 360° look at the entirety of your life as it affects your wealth and your objectives. All facets of your financial profile, from current investments to risk tolerance to questions about the future, will be covered.
  • 2) Explore - Next, we analyze the information and begin to match your goals and objectives with the appropriate investments. Discussions with your accountant and/or attorney will be held if necessary to help ensure that tax obligations are minimized, and portfolios are aligned with estate plans.
  • 3) Recommend - At the next meeting, the preliminary financial plan that we created together will be reviewed. The plan will entail a seamless integration of the investment portfolio and other assets along with the client’s tax and estate planning, cash flow planning and spending needs.
  • 4) Review - Because personal circumstances and market conditions can change with time, each portfolio is constantly monitored, and the team will conduct regular reviews of your financial status to help ensure that investments remain properly positioned to meet specific financial goals.
