My Story and Services

I work with clients who love life and can't wait to do the things that are meaningful to them. My clients want a Financial Advisor to manage their retirement and investment planning, so they can focus on other aspects of their lives. And yet they are by no means out of the loop. My clients meet with me regularly, so regardless of market conditions, they know where they stand and can make proactive adjustments. I offer each of my clients a customized financial plan as their guiding document to help keep them on track toward goals that are important to them. My career has been so meaningful since I have had a positive impact on people's lives. I enjoy the process of financial planning, and am excited to see my clients realize their goals.

Investments are just one part of the overall wealth management strategy. I help ensure an inclusive approach by considering and coordinating my support in providing lending strategies, estate planning strategies, tax considerations, life insurance, and long-term care alternatives to always keep my client's best interests in mind. I work with clients at every stage in their careers, whether that be working, soon to be retired, or long since retired. I tailor the plan according to changing priorities. Over time, I have formed long-lasting relationships built on respect, integrity, and trust.

I live in Bow, WA, with my husband, Aaron, and five children. My husband and I are members of the Burlington Rotary Club, where we served as President. My two youngest daughters, Emilia and Gracie, have been attending Rotary, where they have learned to love community service from a young age. I am a former Burlington Chamber of Commerce board member and a former Habitat for Humanity board member.

I am a Financial Advisor, Senior Vice President, Financial Planning Specialist, and Insurance Planning Director at Morgan Stanley with over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. I graduated from Western Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics and a minor in Accounting.

About Madison Maki-Maxwell

Madison is a Client Service Associate. She helps shape the future of service by modernizing the client’s experience through an elevated standard of care. Madison truly cares about our clients and works hard to help them simplify and manage aspects of their financial life. She strives to provide every client we serve with a first-class customer experience.

Madison cultivates and enhances new and existing client relationships through active communication, processing client requests, resolving inquiries, and making sure key information and documentation remains current. She keeps an eye on each administrative detail and finds the issues that need to be addressed.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2023, Madison worked at United Parcel Service. She spent four years working with a large customs brokerage house leading an operational team. In this position, Madison focused on building strong client relationships that would enable her to understand each client’s unique goals and obstacles.

She is in the process of acquiring her Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. Madison is from Montana. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her puppy and enjoying the Pacific Northwest weather. Madison also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Katie Reed is a Senior Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Washington.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Katie began her career in financial services in 2002, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2017 as a Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Wealth Management Banker at Merrill Lynch.

Katie is a graduate of the University of Washington, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She lives in Seattle, Washington with her spouse. Outside of the office, Katie enjoys volunteering her time with various organizations which support women, food accessibility, and animals. She also enjoys traveling, Washington Husky football, and spending time with family and friends.
