Thoughtful guidance for the decisions that can meaningfully shape your financial future.

Equity compensation and corporate benefits can be some of the most valuable—and most complex—parts of your total compensation. My role is to help you make sense of how these pieces fit together so you can make confident decisions that align with your goals, your timeline, and your risk comfort.

This work often includes coordinating across tax considerations, cash flow needs, and investment strategy—so your decisions in one area don’t unintentionally create challenges in another.
Equity Compensation Planning
Equity awards can create significant opportunity, but they also introduce layers of complexity: different tax treatments, vesting schedules, and timing decisions that may affect your broader plan. We work together to build an approach that is clear, deliberate, and aligned with your long-term objectives.

Areas we commonly cover include:
• RSUs (Restricted Stock Units): Planning for vesting events, potential tax withholding impacts, and how RSU income can affect your cash flow and investment approach.
• ISOs (Incentive Stock Options): Evaluating exercise timing, potential tax impacts, and decision trade-offs based on your goals and planning horizon.
• Nonqualified Stock Options (NQSOs): Reviewing exercise strategies and the interaction between taxes, liquidity, and portfolio construction.
• ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plans): Helping you evaluate participation levels, holding strategies, and how to integrate ESPP proceeds into your broader plan.

What we focus on across all equity types:
• Tax-aware decision-making (in coordination with your tax professional)
• Concentration risk and how company stock fits within your overall portfolio
• Cash flow timing—planning for vesting, exercises, and potential tax payments
• Goal alignment—using equity compensation to support milestones like a home purchase, college funding, or retirement
Concentrated Stock Risk & Diversification (High-Level Frameworks)
Holding a significant amount of company stock can be a sign of success—yet it can also create added risk if too much of your financial well-being depends on a single company’s performance. We’ll discuss diversification thoughtfully and at a pace that feels right for you.

Our high-level framework includes:
• Identifying how exposure to company stock affects your overall risk profile
• Establishing a diversification approach that supports your goals and liquidity needs
• Building a plan that balances confidence in your company with the importance of long-term resilience
Corporate Benefits Integration
Your benefits package can be a powerful planning tool—especially when combined with equity compensation. We take a holistic view to help ensure your elections and contributions support your overall financial strategy.
Planning topics may include:
• Retirement plans: Coordinating contributions and savings priorities across workplace plans and personal goals
• Annual enrollment decisions: Helping you think through benefit elections in the context of your broader financial picture
• Deferred compensation considerations: Discussing, at a high level, the role deferred comp may play in cash flow planning and longer-term wealth strategy (and when it may be appropriate to explore further with your tax and legal advisors)

Our conversations are designed to be straightforward, practical, and grounded in what matters most to you—so you can move forward with clarity.

5Investing in the market entails the risk of market volatility. The value of all types of investments may increase or decrease over varying time periods. The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of sustainable or impact investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because sustainability and impact criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria.
