About Me

I joined Morgan Stanley in 2012. I chose Morgan Stanley because I am afforded the autonomy to do what is best for our clients. The access to resources and intellectual capital is extensive and I am proud to share that for the benefit of my clients and their families.

I was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Staten Island and have lived in Manhattan since 2003. My childhood has shaped my services model. My family arrived in the US at the turn of the century, from southern Italy, became entrepreneurs, out of necessity, since steady employment was hard to secure at that time.

My father was a carpenter and my mother, a stay-at-home mom until I entered high school, at which point she took a job with NYC Department of Education. Working with my father as a child, taught me the importance of closely listening to clients to fully understand their goals, concerns, vision, and desired outcomes. This stuck with me because once we begin a home remodeling, it’s too late to undo it.

Sadly, my father died in my 20's and having never been exposed to wealth management or financial planning I learned firsthand the vital importance of both. This is why I decided to dedicate myself to wealth management. A few years into my career I realized a well-designed corporate retirement benefit program can deliver what I’m most passionate about, at scale, potentially impacting thousands of lives. This led me to shift my focus to corporate retirement. I earned the designation of Corporate Retirement Director, Financial Wellness Director and earned the Qualified Plan Financial Consultant® credentials from the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA).

Academically my background is in Biochemistry. I graduated in 1998 from Stony Brook University. A brief stint in a molecular genetics lab reinforced that my passions and skills actually lie at the intersection of business and research, which led me toward a rewarding early career in sales and marketing. Interestingly, this paved the path for my transition to wealth management at Morgan Stanley.

Outside of work I enjoy learning about behavioral finance, and neuroscience with a focus on the neurobiology of peak performance and flow states. I’m casually learning how to speak proper Italian. I remain fascinated by childhood development and what makes kids my sons age tick. I enjoy attempting to learn about food and wine, and I can honestly say I make very few things well and MANY mediocre dishes at best. Progress is slow, but continuous. Most hobbies revolve around the activities that captivate my son’s interest at the moment and when I can, I’ll squeeze in a round or two of golf.

Giving back has been a core value instilled in my early years and well aligned with one of our corporate core values of Giving Back. I’ve always been willing to lend a helping hand, most recently being appointed a trustee of my local Parish (for the third time in 15 years). I’ve served as trustee and treasurer of La Scuola d’Italia and served on the board of a transitional women’s shelter in Hells Kitchen NYC.

My Six-Step Approach

My wealth management approach focuses on you, your family and your career – where you are today and where you want to go. Working together, we develop the strategies to help get you there, navigating life’s challenges and helping you make more informed decisions about your wealth.
    Icon Image
    1. Introductory Call
We begin with an informal conversation to understand your financial concerns and determine how we can add value. If we all agree to move forward, we’ll schedule our next meeting and request important financial information.
    Icon Image
    2. Get To Know You Meeting
We continue the dialogue by fostering an in-depth conversation where we learn about the values that shape your decisions and identify any unique circumstances. We also review the documents you’ve prepared and define your priorities.
    Icon Image
    3. Analysis & Plan Development
Here, we utilize proprietary financial planning tools to develop a personalized and detailed plan with recommendations to help you grow, preserve and transfer your wealth.
    Icon Image
    4. Implementation
In this step, we present appropriate strategies that are designed to work together to achieve your goals. Upon your approval, we open new accounts for you at Morgan Stanley and initiate our investment recommendations. We’ll also begin to implement other strategies we’ve discussed. These often encompass tax minimization strategies, as well as risk management and estate planning techniques.
    Icon Image
    5. Plan Monitoring
Financial plans change over time as your personal and family situations change. We are here to revisit your plan regularly to make tactical changes to help meet the needs of our ever-changing situations and environment.
    Icon Image
    6. Ongoing Service
Committed to premium service, we focus on developing a relationship that provides special value to you and your family. As we begin to execute each strategy, we’ll set up tools so you have immediate access to your account information. And because markets and personal needs evolve over time, we set up ongoing meetings to help ensure your plan remains on schedule to achieve your goals.
