Jonathan Torop is a Managing Director and Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Jonathan focuses on high-net-worth families based in the US and Europe. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Jonathan was a Managing Director at UBS where he developed his practice. Before then, he worked at Credit Suisse in their Private Banking division from 2009 until 2013. He started his career at Goldman Sachs where he worked in the firm's Private Wealth Management Group from 1999-2009.
Jonathan is a graduate of Wesleyan University where he received a degree in English with high honors. Following his graduation, he spent a year as an employee of Japan's Ministry of Education, teaching English at Japanese junior high schools. He went on to attend Princeton University and earned a Master's Degree in Near Eastern Studies. Following his time at Princeton, Jonathan was a research fellow at a Washington, DC think tank. After spending two years in DC, he moved back to the Northeast to pursue an MBA at Yale, which he completed in 1999.
