About Sandra Wang
Sandra Wang, CFP®, CDFA®, ChFC®, is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor leveraging her multidisciplinary background in advising families through wealth accumulation and transfer. Her mission is to ensure the successful stewardship of clients’ wealth across life stages, liquidity events, and generations.
In her work with clients, Sandra develops tailored retirement, philanthropic, estate and tax planning strategies, while helping clients navigate key life transitions including liquidity events, business succession planning, and life events (divorce, widowhood, special needs). Sandra advises executives on strategies for employer stock concentration, implementing tax-efficient and opportunistic deconcentration over time, including establishment of 10b5-1 plans to allow insiders to divest in compliance with insider trading laws. Sandra leverages strategic partnerships across the firm, including Family Office Resources, to help ultra-high net worth clients manage the complexities of their wealth and provide Next Gen wealth education to sustain the values which created the wealth.
Sandra has been featured in national media for her work with families to address their conflicts around money including The New York Times, MSN Money, Parents magazine, National Public Radio “The Takeaway” as well as the personal finance book “The 10 Commandments of Money.”

Sandra earned her International MBA from Instituto de Empresa in Spain as a Fulbright Scholar, graduating with honors, her Master’s degree in Psychology from JFK University and her Bachelor’s in English Literature from UC Berkeley as a Regents Scholar, Highest Honors. Sandra also worked in health care management in the beginning of her career as a clinical supervisor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Sandra is fluent in English, Mandarin and Spanish.
In addition, she has earned a number of professional designations – including CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Chartered Financial Consultant®, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, Investing with Impact Director, Lending Specialist, Workplace Advisor - Equity Compensation, and Family Wealth Director, a designation achieved by a select group of advisors who possess a high caliber of education and experience in advising ultra-high net worth clients on wealth transfer, family governance, estate and philanthropic planning. Sandra taught financial and retirement planning courses through Stanford University’s Continuing Studies Program for over a decade.
Sandra earned two taekwondo black belts (Traditional 1st Degree and Elevated) in 2023 and 2024 – and holds title as a 2-time World Champion in 2024 and 6-time State Champion in 2024, 2023, and 2022 with National Martial Arts Alliance (NMAA).
Sandra’s family volunteers as puppy raisers for Guide Dogs for the Blind, training guide dogs to empower the visually impaired with greater independence. She has backpacked to 55+ countries and enjoys adventures with her husband and 3 children. Sandra serves on the board of Outlook Christian Church and is a founding board member of Friends of the Davidson Academy and Whispering Pines Retreats.
