John Sundstedt is a Family Wealth Director, Senior Portfolio Management Director and Senior Vice President with Morgan Stanley in Carlsbad, California. John graduated from San Jose State University in 1993 with a BS in Finance. After graduating in 1993, John obtained his California Real Estate Broker's license and operated John Paul Mortgage and Realty in Santa Clara, CA facilitating clients with their financing and real estate transactions. In 1996 John made a decision to build a career in the financial markets. He joined Olde Discount Stockbrokers in 1996 and in 1997 accepted a position with PaineWebber as a financial advisor. In January of 2000 John was promoted to Sales Manager of PaineWebber in San Diego, who was subsequently purchased by UBS in late 2000. John worked in the dual role of Sales Manager and First Vice President for the next seven years, helping UBS manage the downtown San Diego office while servicing his growing clientele. In 2007 John moved his practice to Morgan Stanley where he currently serves his clientele. His responsibilities include asset allocation, portfolio management and long term planning. His clientele include high net worth families, endowments and nonprofit corporations. John is also the former Investment Committee Chair of Senior Community Centers, a nonprofit that serves seniors in San Diego. He lives with his wife of 27 years and his three children in Encinitas, California

About Janet Calcagno
Janet Calcagno is a Senior Registered Associate with Morgan Stanley in Carlsbad, California. She is licensed with her Series 7, 63 and California insurance license. She has been with the firm in her present role since 2011. Janet started in the business back in 1977 as a New Accounts Clerk at Merrill Lynch in Riverside, CA. In 1979 Janet accepted a cashier position with PaineWebber in what would be the start of a 27 year journey with the investment firm. She ended her tenure with UBS in 2006 (PaineWebber was acquired by UBS in 2001) after serving as Administrative Manager for 11 years, and accepted a position as Operations Manager at Wachovia Securities. She then decided to step down from management and after a short break she accepted her current position working with Financial Advisors John Sundstedt and Glen Mondero in the Carlsbad, CA office. She has lived in Carlsbad for the last 22 years and enjoys spending time with her 2 grown children & many friends.

About Kathryn Bannister
Katie Bannister is a Senior Registered Associate with Morgan Stanley in Carlsbad, California. She is licensed with her Series 7, 63 and IA. Katie was born and raised in the small town of Holdrege, Nebraska. In 1984, she moved from the Midwest to San Diego, California where her career began in the downtown office of Smith Barney Harris Upham. Throughout the decades of mergers & acquisitions, Katie remained with the same firm having over 39 years of experience in the financial industry. Most recently, she shortened her commute by relocating from the San Diego Morgan Stanley Complex to the Carlsbad branch office, working with the Financial Advisor Team of John Sundstedt. Katie is an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan and lives in La Costa, California with her three Exotic Persian cats, Cody, Wink and Wilson. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing and giving back to her HOA community by maintaining the wildlife habitat she created there.
