Our Approach

We pride ourselves on minimizing the "conflicts of interest" inherent in the financial services world.  Our fee-based platform allows the client to choose how we serve their wealth management needs, and assists the client in finding the right solution(s) to very complex situations.

Estate Conservation

Our detailed analysis seeks to provide the right structure for every client situation, and evaluates how the current estate plan performs against the firm's recommendations.  Pour Over Wills, Living Trusts, Family Partnerships, Irrevocable Trusts, Charitable Trusts, Donor-Advised Funds and Private Foundations are evaluated (from a funding perspective) seeking to maximize conservation, minimize taxation, and meet the clients' objectives for estate distribution.

Business Succession

The client's business concern is evaluated in terms of structure, liquidity, taxation, and transfer.  Contingency plans and exit strategies are reviewed in terms of business continuity and viability.  Buy-Sell Agreements, Articles of Incorporation, Partnership Agreements, Financial Statements and Corporate Insurance Policies are analyzed to determine the financial impact on the client, his/her family, and their employees.

Asset Management

We employ an actively-managed indexed approach to investment management.  Not only equities, bonds, and cash are evaluated, but alternative investments (hedge, derivatives, and structured notes), real estate, and commodities are analyzed from a real return, a relative return, and on a correlated basis.  We also have access to lending services. Risk and volatility management are equally evaluated to determine the portfolio's overall stability.

Tax Efficiency
The client's revenue sources are reviewed in order to potentially minimize income, capital gains, and excise taxes.  Wage, dividend, interest, rent and other passive income are analyzed in terms of source, receipt, and filing, while the client's marginal tax rate is determined and defined.  A collaborative effort (with the client's accountant) provides for the implementation of the joint recommendations made.

Charitable Giving
The family's legacy, along with the income and estate tax benefits, are determined in reviewing the client's philanthropic efforts.  Alternative approaches are analyzed in terms of the charities supported, and the tax benefits received.

Risk Assessment
The client's insurance portfolio is evaluated from a cost/benefit perspective.  Life, disability, and long-term care policies are carefully dissected to determine their performance over the long term (as well as against the policy's original projections).  Property and casualty policies are evaluated by third party vendors (specifically screened for their impartiality).

Please contact us for a confidential review (without cost or obligation) of your current financial situation. We look forward to serving your wealth advisory needs.
