As a Financial Advisor and Senior Vice President I aim to help my clients achieve their investment objectives within their desired time horizon. I bring 19 years of combined knowledge and experience to my business and continually offer my clients a platinum experience by devoting a great deal of time getting to know them on a highly personal basis. Experience has shown me that the deeper the relationship I have with my clients, the more confidence they have in me and the more valuable I can be when advising them.

Many of my clients are self-made and goal-oriented. They have a strong desire for financial independence, or have already achieved that plateau and would like to secure and maintain a certain standard of living and preserve their wealth for their loved ones.

Together, my clients and I will:

1. Develop a Personal Lifestyle Plan to address their income concerns and financial security.

2. Implement my Purposeful Investment Strategy by focusing on their unique situation and life plans.

    For more than a decade, John has developed the skills he uses to guide affluent clients through the complex financial marketplace.  He provides sound advice and has earned a reputation for his genuine concern for clients - a strong asset in a business that requires a critical balance of initiative and discipline.  John believes that the key to successful relationships is working with each client to custom-tailor a structured yet flexible investment plan.

    John began his financial services career as an assistant Nasdaq trader on Wall Street.  He prefers the direct interactions with clients and became a Financial Advisor at a predecessor firm of Morgan Stanley in 1997 and has since received the Morgan Stanley National Sales Director Award, Gulf Shore 2010 top Scoring Wealth Managers award and the 2017 Five Star Wealth Management Award.  John lives with his wife and family in Naples.  Away from the office he enjoys coaching local children's football, baseball and softball teams.

      • Nancy M. Gillespie - Portfolio Associate
        Nancy joined Smith Barney as an Operations Associate in 2000 after relocating to Naples from Westchester County, NY. Her 4 years in Operations, working with management and branch personnel, has given her a detailed understanding of branch procedures, compliance, funds and order processing. Nancy transitioned into the client service area in early 2005 and became FINRA Series 7 and 66 licensed shortly after. In 2010, under Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Nancy was selected as a coach for the Client Service Associates in the Naples/Fort Myers Complex guiding new and existing CSAs in administrative best-practices, processes and procedures.

        Nancy received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Managerial Economics from Marietta College in Ohio and went on to earn the Entrée Degree in office administration offered by The Katharine Gibbs School in New York, NY. She brings a strong sense of discipline, prioritization and organization skills to the team and is committed to providing outstanding service to our clients.
