Joan D. Cordell is a Financial Advisor and a member of the Wellesley Compass Group at Morgan Stanley.

She brings 14 years of experience serving on the leadership team at Morgan Stanley, where she helped grow and support a $40+ billion business in client assets. Throughout her tenure, Joan built strong partnerships across the organization, leveraging the firm’s intellectual capital and world-class resources to deliver exceptional Modern Wealth Management strategies. Her planning approach begins with understanding each client’s unique needs, vision, and values. Joan develops a comprehensive financial plan that integrates investments, retirement strategies, tax considerations, estate planning, and cash management into a cohesive roadmap. This integrated approach allows clients to focus on present priorities while building confidence in their long-term future.

    Women and Philanthropy

Women are poised to change the face of philanthropy. Currently, women control one-third of all U.S. household financial assets, and the power of their purses is expected to increase as they inherit much of the $30 trillion in assets that will be passed down to baby boomers by 2030. Since women often play key roles in educating other family members in giving, their philanthropic influence may extend far beyond their individual efforts.
