My Story and Services

Jeremy brings a diverse background to Morgan Stanley as an experienced financial advisor and former commercial litigation attorney. Jeremy began his professional career as an attorney, concentrating his practice on international business and financial litigation and arbitration. As an attorney, Jeremy advocated on behalf of institutional, governmental and individual clients in complex disputes involving cross-border financial transactions and international treaty obligations.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Jeremy worked for nine years as a Senior Financial Advisor with one of the largest financial services firms in the US.

At Morgan Stanley, Jeremy focuses on delivering the same zealous representation that he provided as an attorney towards achieving his client’s wealth management needs and goals.

Jeremy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Denver and his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School. He proudly supports and is a former board member of the Jewish Council for Youth services, a not-for-profit organization offering early childhood educational and recreational experiences at its family centers in the Chicagoland area. Jeremy lives in Highland Park with his wife, Danielle and his two daughters, Brooklyn and Parker. He is an avid golfer.

    Planning for Education Funding

    Named after Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code, a 529 plan is a tax-advantaged vehicle, which allows you to invest for future education expenses. A 529 plan creates an incentive for families to invest toward education costs because earnings in the plan can be tax-deferred, with withdrawals being exempt from federal and, in most cases, state income taxes if you use the funds for qualified expenses, such as tuition, fees, room and board, and supplies.

    Cristina Chiper serves as the Group Director on the team and draws on over 10 years of experience with Morgan Stanley. Her attention to detail and deep understanding of our client objectives allows us to help deliver a truly exceptional wealth management experience.

    Prior to her current role, she managed the day-to-day aspects of several high net worth teams at Morgan Stanley in Chicago, where she built a strong knowledge base assisting High Net Worth families who have complex needs and unique circumstances. She leveraged her experience to help teams of Financial Advisors manage all aspects of their client relationships. Her focus has been on the implementation of managed money, Alternative investments, marketing coordination and supervised social media outreach.

    Cristina joined Morgan Stanley in 2014 and has more than eleven years of client service experience. Earlier in her career, she worked as an Operations and Associate Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual. After college, Cristina interned at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where she worked on the trading floor as a clerk to a senior trader.

    Cristina earned her Bachelor of Arts in business and a minor in international relations from Lake Forest College. She is fluent in Romanian and Spanish.

    In her free time, you can find Cristina on the Megaformer at Studio Lagree, taking long walks along Lake Michigan, or trying to discover Chicago’s next best restaurant.
