My Story and Services

Jeffrey S. Embree is a First Vice President and Wealth Advisor within the Wealth Management Division of Morgan Stanley’s 522 Fifth Avenue office in New York. He holds the designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®).

For more than 20 years, Jeff has been serving his clients with a unified approach to wealth management. As a partner in “The Neuman / Embree Group”, he works primarily with high net worth individuals and families on their comprehensive wealth planning, portfolio management and asset allocation strategies. He has particular focus on overall trust and estate planning strategies, inter-generational family planning, the financial stages of divorce and helping families prepare for the unique financial considerations that face people with disabilities. In addition, he also focuses on helping private business owners as well as public company CFO’s and Human Resources structure their company’s 401(k) and other retirement plans as effectively as possible.

Jeff has a passion for giving back and is involved with various charities including American Corporate Partners mentoring recently returned armed forces veterans, as well as Service to School as an Ambassador helping veterans with the college application process to earn acceptance into the best college possible. He is also very involved on many levels with his alma mater, Colgate University, where he graduated with a BA in economics and competed in hockey at the Division 1 level. Jeff resides in Manhattan with his wife, Emily, and also spends a considerable amount of time in the Hudson Valley.

I've been actively involved as a mentor with American Corporate Partners (ACP), an organization focused on helping returning veterans and active duty spouses find their next careers through one-on-one mentoring, networking and online career advice.

    In addition, I am involved with my alma mater, Colgate University, in many capacities including the President's Club Membership Committee, Class of '98 Gift Committee and SophoMORE Connections - a program specifically focused mentoring and career counseling to the Sophomore class.

    Finally, I am the Treasurer of the Harlem Horizons apartment building.

    About Samuel Nuber

    Sam’s principal focus as team analyst is providing clients with customized investment solutions to help them achieve their long term financial goals and navigate challenging market environments. His experience and passion for all things investing helps him review client portfolios and identify opportunities to implement tailored investment advice. Sam is also responsible for all investment due diligence and understanding how the objectives of each strategy fit with the goals of our clients. He also constantly monitors both economic and market conditions to pinpoint when certain tactical strategies may be implemented. He currently holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designation.*

    Sam graduated from Colby College with a bachelor’s degree in economics and also competed in football for the school. He currently resides on the Upper East Side with his wife Robin and is an avid sports fan, softball player, and cook.

    Michelle has been in the business for 20 years, She worked on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for 10 years, and then came over to Morgan Stanley in 2007. Michelle is often the first line of contact on a broad array of administrative and operational services for clients. From opening and processing new account documents, trades, client wires, checks, journals, ACH transactions and a variety of other client inquiries. Michelle is passionate about providing excellent service with patience and dedication.

    Michelle is a Senior Registered Associate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Connecticut State University and the Series 7 and 63 FINRA registrations. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and listening to live music.

    About Lauren Akers

    Lauren Akers is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Pennsylvania.

    Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

    Lauren began her career in financial services in 2011 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2013 with the Home Loans Division. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a Credit Analyst at PHH Mortgage.

    Lauren is a graduate of Rider University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. She and her family currently reside in Chesterfield, New Jersey.

    Outside of the office, Lauren dedicates her time to her family and several volunteer activities. She also enjoys spending time with her 2 kitties, cooking, baking, reading, gardening, shopping, traveling, and going to the beach. Lauren remains active by exercising and participating in 5K runs.
