Welcome

Growing up I had a foot in two worlds. For most of the year, I lived in the middle- class city of New Britain in the affluent state of Connecticut with my parents and siblings, and I spent my summers in Wilcox County, Alabama, one of the poorest counties in the country. I helped my paternal grandparents farm a variety of crops and tend to their herd of cattle. I witnessed firsthand financial disparities which served as the catalyst for my lifelong desire to increase access to financial education.

I graduated from the U of New Haven with a BS in Accounting and earned my MBA with a concentration in accounting and taxation. I also played basketball for 4 years at the collegiate level and participated in 3 national post season tournaments while serving as team captain. I then entered the corporate world of taxation consultation. After the birth of my first child, my wife and I interviewed financial professionals, and we were discouraged with what we found. I decided to be the change I wanted to see and recommitted to my passion of teaching financial education beyond the borders of corporate America. I leverage my 15 years of corporate experience to approach wealth management with a strategic and generational focus for my clients.

I joined Morgan Stanley’s Tysons Corner office in late 2016 and brought my unique perspective, financial expertise and strategic solutions-based approach to the families and institutions I serve. In 2019 and 2021 I was a member of Morgan Stanley’s prestigious Pacesetter’s club. In 2022, my family and I relocated to the Greater Philadelphia area to support my wife’s career aspirations. I am now based out of Morgan Stanley’s Conshohocken office where I continue to develop generational and strategic approaches to wealth for the corporate and not for profit executives, entrepreneurs, and families I act as a trusted advisor for. I work across market cycles to intentionally develop financial plans that enable my clients to envision their objectives and achieve their goals.

I serve on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for Step Afrika! the only arts organization dedicated to the art of stepping, am a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and am a member of the Association of African American Advisors. I also sit on the Advisory Board for Bowie State University’s College of Business Administration and Morgan Stanley’s Mid-Atlantic Diversity Council. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, spending time with family and eating a delicious meal paired with a nice Whiskey or Bourbon-preferably Uncle Nearest.

If your Financial Advisor is part of a Strategic Partnership, his or her role in that Strategic Partnership may be limited to a specific business and/or product area and may not cover all facets of your account. The use of the terms “Partner” or “Strategic Partner” and/or “Partnership” or “Strategic Partnership” are used as terms of art and not used to imply or connote any legal relationship.

2Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
