Working Together

Communication is the backbone of our practice. We ask questions about your goals, your risk tolerance, your time horizon, and then we listen. This is an ongoing process that helps us to get to know you and your situation to allow us to work towards all of your most important dreams, short-and-long term.
    Icon Image
Step 1: Getting to Know You and Your Goals
The first step is getting to know you and what is important to you and your family. What are your passions? What are your values? What do you envision your life looking like in five years, ten years and beyond?
    Icon Image
Step 2: Setting Goals According to Your Needs
As your life stage changes, so do your goals. We look across your assets and liabilities to help adapt your strategy to meet those changing demands from early/mid-career through late career and retirement. We do a thorough review of your current financial profile, which typically consists of:
    • Assets (401k, IRA, brokerage, savings, etc.)
    • Liabilities (mortage(s), student loans, lines of credit, etc.)
    • Insurance (whole life, term, long-term care, etc.)

A deep understanding of these items is critical as they will serve as the foundation of your holistic financial plan.
    Icon Image
    Step 3: Present Your Plan
The first draft of your financial plan will serve as a “blank canvas” of sorts. With your investment time-horizon and tolerance for risk in mind, we will examine various scenarios that take a number of variables into consideration, including saving/spending rate, Social Security, investment allocation and hypothetical investment returns. It is at this stage that we will work with you to formulate and implement a custom-tailored strategy that best align with your individual circumstances.
    Icon Image
    Step 4: Monitoring Performance
As we like to say when you become a client of ours, our work together is only beginning. A financial plan is only useful if it is regularly revisited. Your life is not static and goals change. Clients get married, have children or grandchildren, change careers, etc. and we adapt the plans along the way as these changes occur. This is accomplished through regular communication and reviews. Throughout all possible market conditions our primary objective is to ensure that we continue to remain on-track towards achieving your long-term life goals.
