Experience

Before joining Morgan Stanley in 2015, I was a Vice President at HSBC Security USA. I started my wealth management career at Merrill Lynch. Earlier in my professional life, I spent six years helping Chinese companies to invest and build subsidiaries in the U.S. and the Middle East. This experience gave me a global perspective and a deep understanding of international business, which adds value to my work as a Financial Planning Specialist.

I earned my MBA from Pepperdine University, where I was awarded a full-tuition scholarship and Reva Graziadio Endowed Scholarship.

I hold the following licenses:

Series 7 -General Securities Representative
Series 66 - Uniform Combined State Law, Investment Advisory
California Health, Life & Annuity Lic. #0H56764
Florida Life Health & Annuity Lic. # W375686
New Jersey Life Health & Annuity Lic. # 1688999

As a native of China, I speak fluent Mandarin, and also studied and worked in China before coming to the U.S. in 2007. Currently, I live in the Bay Area with my husband and son. In my free time, my passion is to travel—I have been to five continents, and plan to visit Antarctica in 2018.

My Clients

I serve a diverse and select clientele, including highly successful corporations, corporate executives, business owners, entrepreneurs and multi-generational families. My clients come from all parts of the world, but what they have in common is their drive to succeed and their desire to protect and pass on their assets, as well as their values.

My approach to working with clients centers around a disciplined, goals-based wealth management process. I spend time learning about my clients’ short-term and long-term financial goals, and walk them through different scenarios so they can understand the financial impact of their choices and decisions. When appropriate, I also work closely with their other professional advisors—CPAs, tax attorneys, and estate planning attorneys—to help ensure an integrated strategy that considers every aspect of their financial life.

We make it east for successful individuals like you to manage every aspect of your financial life, no matter how complex your specific situation may be.

Approach

Discovery Process
Investing the time to learn about you and your family; your assets and liabilities and the risk exposures, enables us to formulate strategies and customize the relationship to your needs.
Formulation of Tax, Trust and Estate Strategy
Working with your tax and legal advisors, we help analyze your income and estate tax circumstances to identify and tailor planning techniques that may be used to address your objectives.
Creation of Customized Strategic Asset Allocation
Your customized asset allocation reflects risk, opportunities and taxation across multiple entities, while integrating your investing and estate plans.
Integration of Tactical Asset Allocation
Short-term adjustments seek to capitalize on temporary market distortions. Before making adjustments, we analyze the impact of taxes and trading costs on potential returns.
Implementation of a Customized Wealth Strategy
After comprehensive due diligence and analysis of expected results across multiple market scenarios, strategies are chosen from our expansive investment platform.
Ongoing Assessment
In coordination with your other advisors, we can conduct ongoing reviews and comprehensive reporting to ensure that your strategy adapts to changing financial and family needs.

About Zhuo Wang

Zhou Wang understands the role national culture and family dynamics play in wealth management planning. That informs Zhou’s work with her cross-border clients, many of whom have a multigenerational presence in both Asia and the United States.

Zhou believes clients deserve detailed information and guidance about strategies and products in a manner they can understand and that respects their background. She has found that language fluency and providing technical knowledge are essential, but not enough. Understanding cultural differences and being able to explain the advantages of strategies such as prudent borrowing, and the differences between countries’ equity markets, helps international clients make more efficient and effective decisions. And having the ability to serve as a bridge, not just across borders, but across generations, helps secure values as well as financial legacies.

Born and raised in China, Zhuo is fluent in both Mandarin and English. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Tianjin Foreign Studies University, a master’s degree in linguistics from Yanbian University and a master’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida. Zhou began her financial services career at Morgan Stanley as a Wealth Advisory Associate and then a Registered Client Associate before becoming a Financial Advisor in 2021. To take a break from the fast pace of following the markets, Zhou likes to do yoga, walk along the beach and sail.
