Meet Ilan Segev & Amy Steigerwald

About Ilan Segev

Ilan is a Managing Director with the Private Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley. Ilan leads an International Private Wealth Management team and focuses on servicing ultra-high net worth investors and families in several markets. Ilan and the team have extensive experience managing capital across several market cycles and are leveraging Morgan Stanley’s resources to benefit their clients. Prior to his work in financial services, Ilan served as a career diplomat for the State of Israel. Ilan was posted in Atlanta as the State of Israel's second highest ranking diplomat to the southeastern United States, and prior to that, was posted in Qatar. Ilan is an active member of the Jewish & Israeli communities within Boston, having served on the Israeli American Council as a founding Co-Chair for the Boston region, the Newton Wellesley Hospital Board of Overseers, and several other not-for-profit boards. Ilan previously was a member on the Morgan Stanley International Wealth Management Council and served on the Private Wealth Management Advisory Council. He is fluent in Hebrew and conversant in Mandarin. Ilan was an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces, received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Far East Studies from Hebrew University in Jerusalem and later received his MBA from Harvard Business School. Ilan lives in Boston with his wife, Shiri, and has 3 sons.

About Amy Steigerwald

Amy is a Senior Vice President with the Private Wealth Management group at Morgan Stanley. Amy began her career in wealth management at BNY Mellon in 2005. After leaving the bank in 2008 to complete business school, Amy joined her partner, Ilan Segev, while at the Private Bank at Credit Suisse. Since joining Morgan Stanley in 2012, Amy has continued to thrive on fostering client relationships and now serves on the Private Wealth Management Advisory Council. Within her community, Amy is passionate about inspiring & empowering women of all ages to achieve their highest career potential. Amy serves on the board of directors at Invest in Girls and as a coach for the Babson WIN Lab for women entrepreneurs. Amy received her BA from Colgate University and her MBA from Georgetown University. Originally from Upstate NY, Amy now resides with her husband, Michael, in the South End of Boston.

About Jessica Downing

Jessica is an Assistant Vice President and Group Director with the Private Wealth Management group at Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, she began her career in financial services at UBS in 2011. Jessica holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses. She graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Sociology and a minor in Psychology, she was also a member of the Women's Rowing Team. She is active in Morgan Stanley's Greater Boston Women's Employee Network and the Northeastern alumni network. Within the firm, Jessica serves on the Strategic Solutions Forums and is the Co-Chair of the International Wealth Management Forum Group. Jessica is a native of Northern New Jersey and resides with her husband and dog in Boston. Jessica enjoys traveling, sourdough baking, and showing off her green thumb with her ever-expanding collection of houseplants.

About Ying Chen

Ying is a Wealth Management Analyst with the Private Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley. Ying is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, and moved from Fujian, China to the United States in 2009. Prior to joining the firm in May of 2022, Ying began her career in financial services at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch in 2017. Ying holds her Series 7 and 66 Licenses. She graduated from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College with a master’s degree in Finance and is currently a CFA III Candidate. Ying resides in Quincy, where she has lived for the past 13 years. Ying enjoys spending time with her family and friends during the weekend and trying out new restaurants.

About Asaf Sitton

Asaf is a Client Service Associate with the Private Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley. He is originally from Israel where he was a licensed Portfolio Manager. Asaf received his Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Economics from Bar Ilan University. Prior to moving to Massachusetts, he worked at Tamir Fishman Investment Firm in Tel Aviv. Asaf holds his 7 and 66 licenses. He currently resides in Jamaica Plain, with his wife and daughter.

About Justin Langway

Justin is a Client Service Associate with the Private Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley. He is from Southborough, MA and received his BS in Business degree with a concentration in real estate from Babson College. Prior to joining the firm in May of 2024, he began his career at Bank of America Private Bank in 2022. Justin enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time with his family down on the Cape.
