My Story and Services

A lifelong resident of Pasadena, Howard “Howdy” Doan draws on three decades in the capital markets to guide families across the San Gabriel Valley. He focuses on helping clients understand – and feel comfortable with – strategies designed to manage risk and align with their individual goals. By translating complex market dynamics into clear, actionable insights, Howdy aims to give clients the clarity they need to make informed decisions.

Howdy began his career as a specialist on the Pacific Stock Exchange in Los Angeles, developing a trader’s discipline for evaluating risk and opportunity. After 30 years on the trading floor, he transitioned to wealth management and now applies that experience to constructing and monitoring diversified portfolios. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he served as a Financial Advisor at UBS.

A graduate of the University of Colorado, where he attended on a golf scholarship, Howdy remains an avid outdoorsman. When away from the office, he enjoys time in the mountains or at the beach with his wife of 31 years, Colleen, and their two adult children who live in Los Angeles.
