CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ - CFP®
The CFP® designation identifies those individuals who have met the experience and ethical requirements, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination. CFP® certificates must also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold the Certified Planner Board of Standards Inc.’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Financial Planning Practice Standards.

Early on, I realized the importance of financial planning in helping clients. I earned my CFP® designation in January 2000, something I have always been very proud of. This title recognizes my education, ethics, experience, and excellence in financial planning.

My Process

Whatever your financial goal - whether to grow your wealth, preserve it or pass it on to others, you can count on me to help you with a strategy that is flexible to your wants and needs. Below is the process I take when meeting a new prospective client.
    Icon Image
    1. Introduction
I begin with an informal conversation to understand your financial concerns and determine how we can add value. If we agree to move forward, we’ll schedule our next meeting and request important financial information.
    Icon Image
    2. Discovery
I continue the dialogue we started, learning about the values that shape your decisions and identifying any unique circumstances around your wealth. I review the documents you prepared and begin to define your priorities and timelines.
    Icon Image
    3. Analysis and Plan Development
Here, I utilize industry-leading financial planning tools to develop a personalized and detailed financial plan with specific recommendations to help you grow and preserve your wealth. This serves as the foundation for building your initial plan, as well as future wealth management decisions.
    Icon Image
    4. Plan Presentation
In this step, I will present your financial plan that includes an investment portfolio that aligns your investments with your goals, timeframe, and risk level. We also discuss other wealth management solutions that may include risk management techniques.
    Icon Image
    5. Implementation
Upon your approval of my recommendations, I begin to implement the strategies outlines in the plan. Once assets have been transferred to Morgan Stanley and are aligned with your investment strategy, I introduce you to all of the tools and recourses available and refer you to my website resources.
    Icon Image
    6. Continued Service and Care
Committed to premium service, I focus on developing a relationship that provides special value to you and your family. As I begin to implement each strategy, I also want to continue to provide top tier attention to stay on top of those financial objectives and maintain a strong relationship with you.

Comprehensive Financial Planning

Regardless of what stage your life is in - moving ahead in your career, enjoying retirement, or somewhere in between - as your Financial Advisor, I can help you achieve your financial goals on your timeline.

Leveraging a sophisticated suite of digital and analytical tools, the thought leadership of Morgan Stanley, I can work with you to create a robust, holistic strategy that integrates the various aspects of your financial life, including your investment and cash management needs.

I create your personal roadmap to help achieve and protect your goals. This framework addresses you and your family's unique circumstances, dreams, and most pressing concerns, while taking into account risk and opportunity in your life.
    Icon Image
    Interactive Retirement Planning
With an understanding of both sides of the balance sheet, as well as your lifestyle and goals, I create interactive financial plans that allow us to account for every aspect of your financial life leading up to and through retirement. By monitoring and updating this plan throughout your life, I can help you stay on track towards achieving the income and resources to live out the lifestyle you envision, while accounting for the unexpected.
    Icon Image
    Tailored Lending
I help high net worth clients with customized lending solutions that can be used to enhance liquidity, finance asset acquisition and protect wealth. I use a dedicated team of experience lenders to evaluate your individual profile to structure solutions to fit your needs. Lending can help you access financing that can be better suited to your individual circumstances.
    Icon Image
    Custom Portfolio Management
While there are certain key tenants of investing that tend to lead to success, I firmly believe that great investment management cannot have a cookie-cutter approach. I know that no two clients are the same, and so every portfolio is custom, purpose-built to fit your individual investment style, preferences, goals and desires. Like your financial plan, my portfolios are actively monitored and adjusted to change not just according to the markets, but your life and evolving needs.
    Icon Image
    Trust/Estate Strategies
While wealth accumulation and preservation are vital facets of our financial lives, planning for the legacy we leave behind is just as important. Whether you plan to pass wealth to your heirs, foundations, or charities, I work together with you and your estate attorneys to help ensure that your wishes are met in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.
    Icon Image
    Cash Flow and Savings
I know investments are just one of the building blocks on the road to financial success - cash flow projection and management is another. Whether it is buying a home, saving for college, leveraging your investments for liquidity, or a myriad of other ways in which you send your hard-earned dollars, I want to help you find the best way to save and invest as you strive to meet your financial goals.
    Icon Image
    Tax Efficient Advice and Execution
Tax-Efficient Investment Management can have a significant impact on after-tax returns, particularly for clients in the top tax brackets. Which this in mind, along with actively tax managed portfolios that tax-loss harvest on a regular basis, we have numerous strategies available to clients to minimize taxes when dealing with highly appreciated stock. I will often work in conjuncture with your CPA (and can offer referrals if needed), to help ensure a cohesive tax management strategy.

If you engage in tax loss harvesting, you must also keep in mind the “wash sale” rules. Under these rules, if you purchase the same or substantially identical securities within 30 days before or after the sale of the securities that generated the loss, the loss will be disallowed. Tax-aware strategies seek to reduce capital gains. There is no guarantee that they will eliminate them.
