EXPERIENCE
Our team offers wisdom gained from decades of collective experience  working with affluent families to help them solve problems. We  focus on helping people whose lives are in transition; specifically, individuals retiring from a Fortune 500 company, business owners selling their business, as well as those managing a life-changing event like the loss of a spouse or a divorce.

INSIGHT
Our experience and insight help map out innovative, forward-thinking strategies designed to achieve your specific objectives. We are committed to professional development, having earned a number of advanced industry certifications and designations. This enables us to remain on the forefront of the most effective strategies, while continually striving to create a more powerful client experience.

ACTION
Even the best strategy can be ineffective without focused, decisive action. That’s why our custom-created recommendations are clearly outlined with rationale and action steps. To help your strategy stay on track, we set timelines and meet with you regularly to measure progress and make any necessary adjustments.

When you invite us into your life to care about you and your family’s future, we take that trust very seriously. It is this openness that facilitates a high level of clarity and guidance. At Fox, Penberthy & Dehn, we believe actions are everything. Given our mission to be the ‘go-to’ advisors for lives in transition, our service philosophy is simple: We build relationships and we get things done. Period.
As your dedicated wealth management team, our role is to help you develop a personalized financial strategy that lays out a clear path to your goals; a strategy you can follow, helping you make informed, confident decisions in today’s complex financial markets.

Over the years, we have developed a five-step consulting process designed to empower you to achieve and maintain your financial goals.

Step 1: Detailed Discovery Interview
From the onset, we spend a great deal of time getting to know you, gathering important information about you and your family and establishing your specific financial objectives. You’ll find our unique process is focused on truly understanding your manner of thinking and feeling; specifically, where you came from and where you want to go.

Step 2: Goal Clarification
Here, we develop an in-depth summary of your goals and how each will be addressed.

Step 3: Current Position and Goal Navigation
During this critical step, we gain a deep understanding of your entire financial situation -- including your current investment strategy and how you’ve fared to date – to prepare a tailored outline of specific, measurable and time-targeted objectives. This detailed review goes beyond investment recommendations to look at more complex wealth management strategies, such as cash flow management.

Step 4: Strategy Recommendations
This step is focused on creating prospective strategies that are custom-designed for your specific risk tolerance, time horizon and goals.

Step 5: Proposed Goal Map and Service Model
Finally, we share an overall roadmap to manage your assets and provide our highly personalized service model for working with you and your family.
We believe wealth management should take into consideration your “real world,” everyday challenges. Our solutions-based methodology looks closely at your income, your spending habits, your liabilities and tax matters, as well as your planned giving strategies, your living trusts and your wealth transfer goals

The development of your customized wealth management plan sets in motion a series of activities and systems designed to help ensure measurable performance and make any adjustments needed to accommodate any changing conditions or demands that may evolve over time.

An Understanding of Your World
We start by engaging in a series of conversations to fully understand your financial life, its history and your vision of the future.

Our sole purpose is to take your goals and make them our mission. If it’s important to you, then it’s important to us. By clearly understanding your world, we can develop a course of action that aligns with your values and your vision.

Selecting Investments, Measuring Progress
Our recommendations are driven by your current and future goals, whether you need liquidity to meet ongoing expenses, growth to ensure your quality of life remains intact in retirement or legacy-planning strategies to ensure your assets passes to the people and organizations you care about most.

Whatever your life plan, we set in motion the actions to help take you there, while measuring outcomes each step of the way. Over time, we may suggest changes intended to ensure your strategy remains on track and is aligned your personal definition of financial success.

10Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.

11Fixed Income investing entails credit risks and interest rate risks. When interest rates rise, bond prices generally fall.
