My Story and Services

Eddy Moss, CFP® is a First Vice President and Financial Advisor whose work is built around a simple conviction: financial capital is not an end in itself — it is a tool. When stewarded intentionally, it becomes a force for good within families, communities, and the world.

Eddy believes true financial success extends far beyond net worth, investment returns, or income statements. It is measured by how effectively each dollar earned, spent, invested, or given advances a family's mission, strengthens generational stability, and creates lasting impact.

To serve this vision, Eddy has developed a purpose-driven planning framework that integrates:

  • Strategic Financial Planning — clarifying goals, values, and long-term direction
  • Wealth Structuring — designing ownership and entity structures that reflect family vision and priorities
  • Goals-Based Portfolio Design — a disciplined capital allocation process that quantitatively links family objectives with investment strategy
  • Succession & Exit Planning — integrating closely held business ownership, liquidity needs, succession strategy, and exit planning within a family's broader financial and legacy objectives
  • Equity Awards Planning — integrating concentrated stock positions and equity awards into a comprehensive financial plan
  • Alternative Investment Strategies — including private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure to support diversification and long-term growth
  • Multi-Generational Planning — building durable strategies designed to support families across generations
  • High-Impact Philanthropic Planning — structuring giving strategies to maximize measurable impact and long-term legacy

Eddy joined Morgan Stanley in 2020 after beginning his career at Merrill Lynch, where he advised families, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and institutions. He graduated cum laude from the University of Dallas with a degree in Economics and holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. He is also a Family Wealth Director at Morgan Stanley — a designation awarded to advisors with advanced training and experience serving entrepreneurs and business owners with complex wealth needs.

Beyond client work, Eddy is actively engaged in education and nonprofit leadership. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Heights School in Potomac, Maryland and previously served on the Board of The Tenley Study Center. He has also taught Wealth Management as an Adjunct Professor at The Catholic University of America and is the founder of DC Accelerator, a nonprofit organization focused on leadership and professional development for young professionals.

Eddy lives in Great Falls, Virginia with his wife Sarah and their three children, James, Isaac, and Mia.
