About Me

Rick is originally from Charlotte and has been serving clients in the financial services business since 1982.  He has comprehensive experience constructing fixed income portfolios, and possesses an extensive knowledge of the municipal bond market and alternative investments.  In addition, he has focused over the years on private investments offered through Morgan Stanley that are designed for the needs of clients with investable assets in excess of $5 million.

Rick is a founding member of the DeSoto Holland Wealth Management Group and is responsible for having developed a team of financial professionals dedicated to covering the needs of our diverse clientele.

Rick earned a BA in business from Western Carolina University while participating in football and wrestling.  He now serves as a trustee on the finance committee of Western Carolina University as well previous board positions with Charlotte Rescue Mission, The Fletcher School, African Leadership, and the state board for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 

Rick makes his home in Charlotte with his high school sweetheart Vikki, where they attend Forest Hill Church.  They are the proud parents of three grown children and five grandchildren.  Rick and Vikki enjoy walking, traveling, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Jeff joined the financial services industry in 1980 and focuses on providing comprehensive financial planning, retirement and estate planning, and portfolio management services to professional athletes, high net worth individuals, professionals and business owners.  During his career, he has held management and advisory roles at several firms, was a founder and president of a 105-person brokerage firm, and was the National Executive Director for the Portfolio Management Program at UBS.

Jeff received a BA in chemistry from the University of North Carolina and an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.  

Jeff serves on the board of Monarch NC (3 years as chairman), a non-profit organization providing critical support for thousands of individuals statewide. For over 20 years, he has served on the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind Foundation Board (10 years as president).  In addition, he has served on the Charlotte Symphony Board as Annual Fund Chairman, and was co-founder of “Chef’s Best Dinner” in Charlotte.  He has been active in teaching and other roles in churches in Charlotte, Birmingham, and Sparta, New Jersey.  Jeff and his wife Marie live in Weddington, have three grown children, two son-in-laws, and three grandchildren.

Jeff has been in the financial services business since 1998 and focuses on tax-free investing, portfolio management, and financial planning.  His clients include business owners, professionals (with an emphasis on physicians, nurses and administrators), and retirees desiring streams of monthly income.  Jeff emphasizes the importance of thoroughly profiling clients with the objective of reaching a proper asset allocation that is in line with their investment objectives and risk tolerance.

Jeff is the Co-leader (with Ricardo DeSoto) of our team’s Captive Insurance Solutions where he tailors investment solutions to meet the needs of corporate clients investing funds for risk management.

Jeff earned a BS in Business Administration from Appalachian State University with a concentration in marketing.  Prior to joining the financial services industry, he spent 15 years with one firm in the Construction Supply business where he specialized in marketing, inventory management and business development.

As an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Jeff serves on the finance committee, and has served as a leader for the Church’s Boy Scout troop where two of his sons earned Eagle Scout. Jeff is also an Eagle Scout himself.  His other interests are focused on his family, where he was an avid supporter of his sons in competitive wrestling.  He owns a Christmas tree farm in Ashe County, NC.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2012, Bradley was in the Banking industry for 31 years.  During that time, he was involved in starting 3 De novo banking operations in North Carolina.

Bradley’s focus is on all aspects of wealth planning and solutions, including providing access to Morgan Stanley Banking services for high net worth individuals, families, professionals and business owners.  With his banking experience, he has a distinct ability to analyze both sides of the balance sheet for our corporate and individual clientele.  

Bradley earned both his BS and M.B.A. from Appalachian State University.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Kevin played collegiate baseball for Auburn University and was elected Team Captain for 3 years.  After earning Academic All-American honors and graduating with a degree in Economics, Kevin was drafted in 2011 and pursued a career in Professional Baseball with the Toronto Blue Jays.  

Kevin led the Vancouver Canadians to the Northwest League Championship in 2011 and led the Lansing Lugnuts in home runs in both 2012 and 2013.  During the off seasons, Kevin ran a successful baseball coaching business in Charlotte.

After hitting 58 professional home runs in three and a half years, Kevin retired from professional baseball to begin his Financial Services career with Morgan Stanley.

Kevin focuses on financial planning for high net worth individuals, with a concentration in tax-free and taxable fixed income investments, as well as professionally managed global and domestic portfolios.

Kevin and his wife Allison live in Wesley Chapel and both enjoy sports and fitness training.

Evan first joined the team as an intern in 2016 and returned as a full time associate in 2018. Evan serves the team with a wide range of responsibilities including client reporting, portfolio operations, preparing marketing material, research, and also executes Fixed Income, Option, Mutual Fund, and Equity trades.

Evan currently holds the Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses. He earned a BSBA Degree in Finance & Banking from the Appalachian State Walker College of Business.

In addition, Evan is the Treasurer and Co-Founder of a Charlotte based non-profit, Sustainativity Charlotte, Inc. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys football, skiing, and hiking.
