My Story and Services

Dempsey Grover is a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley. He works with clients to help bring clarity, organization, and purpose to the many moving parts of their financial lives. Dempsey begins by listening carefully. He takes time to understand each client’s assets, priorities, concerns, and long-term goals. From there, he helps clients evaluate strategies that align with their broader financial picture.

Dempsey views financial advising as a process of discovery, planning, and execution. He often thinks of this process like building a puzzle. First, the pieces need to be placed on the table. Then, they need to be sorted and understood. Finally, they can be organized into a thoughtful strategy. This approach reflects his desire to help clients better understand their options and take meaningful next steps.

Before entering financial services in 2021, Dempsey developed a strong foundation in discipline, teamwork, and adaptability through high-level athletics. He played baseball at UC Santa Barbara and Pepperdine University. That experience continues to shape how he works with clients. He values preparation, consistency, communication, and the ability to adjust when circumstances change.

Dempsey also worked in recruiting for Silicon Valley startups. In that role, he strengthened his communication and negotiation skills in a fast-moving environment. He learned to listen closely, communicate clearly, and keep people focused on shared objectives.

Dempsey earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara. He also earned a graduate degree in Learning Technology from Pepperdine University. He holds the SIE, Series 7, Series 66, and Life and Health Insurance licenses.

Outside of work, Dempsey enjoys coaching baseball, golfing, exercising, and spending time with his wife, Shannon, and their two daughters, Ila and Greta.

PURSUING YOUR GOALS, TOGETHER

My approach is built on trust, clear communication, and a commitment to helping clients make confident financial decisions. I believe good advice starts with listening, asking the right questions, and understanding the people behind the numbers. From the first conversation through ongoing reviews, I work to simplify complex financial decisions, build a plan around your goals, and stay connected as your life evolves.

    1) Start with a Conversation

Every relationship begins by getting to know you. I want to understand your priorities, your concerns, your goals, and what success looks like to you before making any recommendations.

    2) Understand Your Full Financial Picture

I review where you are today, including your investments, cash flow, liabilities, tax considerations, and broader financial needs, so we can identify opportunities and areas that may need attention.

    3) Build a Personalized Plan

Together, we develop a plan tailored to your goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, and comfort level. I strive to make complex financial topics easier to understand, whether you prefer a high-level overview or a deeper discussion.

    4) Implement with Care

Once we agree on a strategy, I help put the plan into action thoughtfully and transparently, coordinating with your other professionals when appropriate to support continuity across your financial life.

    5) Stay Connected Over Time

Financial planning is not a one-time event. I stay in touch, monitor progress, and adjust the plan as your life, goals, markets, and needs evolve.

PLANNING, BUILT AROUND WHAT MATTERS MOST TO YOU

Financial planning is more than a one-time exercise. It is an ongoing process designed to help you make informed decisions as your life, business, and priorities evolve. My approach is grounded in a thoughtful planning framework that connects your goals to clear strategies, measurable milestones, and regular check-ins to help keep you on track.

Below are tools and resources for your convenience that may help support your financial journey, including:
