My Story and Services

David Wyss, CFP® and CEPA®, brings over 15 years of experience as an investment adviser, applying a methodical approach akin to firefighting to financial planning. Just as a firefighter assesses protecting life with precision, David navigates complex financial landscapes with preparation, critical thinking, and a calm demeanor. His dual expertise uniquely positions him to assist business owners in selling their businesses and managing the proceeds effectively. By optimizing business value and structuring tax-efficient deals, David ensures that clients are well-prepared for the next chapter of their lives.

In helping clients transition from business ownership to retirement, David focuses on integrating sale proceeds into comprehensive financial plans. He emphasizes diversified asset allocation and flexible withdrawal strategies to protect and grow clients’ nest eggs. By applying behavioral economics principles, he helps clients commit to sustainable saving practices, ensuring their retirement funds last. This approach not only secures clients’ financial futures but also provides peace of mind as they enter retirement.

David’s experience as a volunteer firefighter since 2002 has profoundly shaped his approach to financial advising. He understands that in both firefighting and financial planning, every decision counts. His ability to remain calm under pressure ensures that clients receive strategic guidance during significant life transitions. Just as a firefighter stands ready to protect a community, David is prepared to safeguard his clients’ financial well-being.

Outside of his professional endeavors, David enjoys spending time with his family along the New Jersey coastline. He is married to Fatima Montano, and together they have two children, Dylan and Isla. His passions for hiking, gardening, and family cooking reflect the same care and strategic thinking he brings to his work. Through his dedication to both his clients and community, David Wyss exemplifies the qualities of a trusted advisor and community leader.
