My Story and Services

With more than 30 years of experience working in the financial services industry, David and his team (“The Rosenberg Group”) provide individuals, families, family offices and businesses, across the country, with a range of exclusive and personally tailored strategies to a multitude of financial issues. By emphasizing a more investor-centric, goals-based wealth management approach, David is able to direct The Rosenberg Group to service clients in a more personalized fashion. This approach incorporates tools and strategies that, ultimately, should provide answers to a very basic question: “What do you want your wealth to do for you?”

As a consequence of his extensive investment experience, David is a specially qualified Senior Portfolio Management Director who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing their own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management model portfolios and third-party investment strategies. Senior Portfolio Management Directors are provided a high degree of flexibility in constructing portfolios and selecting securities. When servicing clients through the Firm’s Senior Consulting Group Program, a Portfolio Management Director may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis.

David is currently serving as Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. Additionally, he has obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™(CFP®) certification and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) professional designation. David joined the Beverly Hills, CA office in May 2021 following 13 years as a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch and, before that, for 18 years as a Managing Director in the Private Client Services and Institutional Fixed Income Divisions of Bear, Stearns & Co. in Los Angeles. He started on Wall Street in 1983 working for Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York as a Vice President.

David began his professional career working for a large, multinational accounting firm from which he was able to obtain his experience as a C.P.A. He is a 1978 graduate of The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania with B.S.E degree and a double major in Accounting and Marketing.

David and his wife, Roberta, have lived and worked in Los Angeles for over three decades.

David feels that community involvement and service are important components to one’s life. In that regard, he was previously a member of the Board of the Carthay Circle Neighborhood Association as well as a previous Committee Member for the Milken Community Schools. Additionally, David has served as an Officer, Executive Board and/or Board of Director member for: the Builders of Jewish Education of Los Angeles, Sinai Temple in Los Angeles and The Penn Fund of the University of Pennsylvania.

PLANNING FOR EVERY STAGE OF LIFE

Tab Image

The Rosenberg Group believes financial wellbeing begins with having a Financial Plan. Your stage in life will determine the type of planning need and questions you have. Do you have a plan in place?

Wealth Building

Typically, our clients under 55, these are your prime working years. In this life stage, you'll make a majority of your lifetime consumer purchases, while also making crucial financial decisions that will impact the rest of your life. Questions to ask yourself regarding wealth building are:

1. Am I saving enough to retire when I want?
Retirement Planning

Most often our clients between 55 and 75, this includes a few years leading up to retirement and the first several years of retirement. While the heavy lifting is done during your Wealth Building years, a customized financial strategy is crucial in this stage for a successful retirement.

Legacy Planning

After enjoying retirement for several years, our clients, typically those over 75, begin contemplating different goals. Instead of focusing on wealth building and distribution, the focus shifts to how they want to leave their legacy.

1. When I pass, will my financial wishes be carried out?

If you find yourself struggling to answer these questions, feel free to reach out to us via the Contact Us button at the top of our website.
