For over two decades, Senior Vice President, and Senior Portfolio Manager David Krauss has focused his wealth management practice on helping preserve and grow clients’ assets. As a financial advisor, David utilizes a comprehensive wealth management process to develop actionable plans tailored to individual situations. His extensive experience combined with Morgan Stanley’s vast resources enable David to deliver effective investment management, retirement, and estate planning strategies.

David is dedicated to thoroughly understanding his clients’ financial position and long term goals. The majority of his clients are multigenerational families and sophisticated executives who prefer that David invest their assets and manage their portfolios on a discretionary basis. David counts on the collective wisdom and independent thinking of the experienced investment teams at Morgan Stanley’s Consulting and Capital Markets Groups, as well as the Global Investment Committee, to help him deliver optimal results.

Managing risk and providing exceptional service are pillars of the practice. Plans are vigilantly monitored and David provides frequent communications on his clients’ investments. Meetings are scheduled to appraise goals and progress.

David entered the investments industry in 1997 after earning an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He began his career under the mentorship of a highly successful financial advisor at Bear Stearns, and then was recruited to A.G. Edwards, which eventually was folded into Wells Fargo. David joined Morgan Stanley in 2012.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, David graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Economics from the University of Vermont. He attended the William Penn Charter High School in Philadelphia, the oldest Quaker school in the world, established in 1689 by William Penn. Between College and graduate school, David began an entrepreneurial business and successfully sold it within three years. David is married to Heidi Krauss and they live in Irvington, NY with their twin daughters Kylie and Kendall. He is an avid tennis player and enjoys coaching his daughters’ sports teams.
