My Mission Statement
Helping clients simplify complexity, optimize opportunities, and create a financial foundation for long-term success
My Story and Services
David Blumenthal is a Vice President and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley, where he works with founders and business owners to help them reach their financial goals. As a Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC), David is dedicated to helping business leaders enhance their company’s retirement plans, seeking to ensure they meet the unique needs of both employers and employees.
With nearly two decades of experience in trading, transaction advisory, and financial advisory, David’s approach is shaped by a deep understanding of market dynamics, risk management, and strategic financial planning. Before transitioning to financial advisory, David spent years trading through major economic events and structuring complex financial transactions. This experience provides a robust foundation in managing volatility and uncertainty, allowing him to design holistic strategies that extend beyond traditional asset allocation.
David’s early interest in finance led him to purse a degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. His analytical nature and dedication to understanding the capital markets laid the groundwork for his successful career in investment banking and trading, equipping him with the skills needed to craft informed, proactive investment strategies.
Outside of work, David is actively involved in his community, contributing to the University of Michigan Club of New York City and being a proud member of the Imerman Angels. He resides in Manhattan with his wife, Ginger. David remains close to his roots in Chicago, where his parents still live. In his downtime, he enjoys activities that refine his strategic thinking and love for competition, such as chess and backgammon, along with staying active on the golf course and hockey rink.
