My Story and Services

Daniel Sharkey, Senior Vice President, helps entrepreneurs, founders and senior executives navigate the opportunities and complexities faced by successful business professionals today.

After many years as a senior leader within venture-backed technology companies, Dan is uniquely qualified to guide his clients as their business evolves: from pre-transaction planning and concentrated stock management, to exit and multi-generational estate planning. With a keen eye to QSBS planning opportunities and tax-efficient strategies, Dan serves as a financial quarterback between the many stakeholders that support his clients – ensuring his clients’ life challenges are met, and their goals are exceeded.

Dan began his career in finance and operational roles at software and technology start-ups, transitioning his client-first philosophy into wealth management at Bernstein Global in 2006. With two decades of experience at top firms including Barclays, UBS, and Morgan Stanley, Dan is committed to delivering comprehensive, tailored wealth strategies to executives, entrepreneurs, and high net worth families.

Beyond wealth management, Dan is passionate about building networks and fostering connectivity, ensuring his clients have access to the right resources and opportunities to support their broader goals. He has hosted a number of technology-focused events in New York bringing together some of the most innovative companies and the investors behind them.

Dan earned a B.A. from SUNY at Geneseo and an M.B.A in Finance from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, graduating with honors. Dan spends his free time with his wife Amy and his three sons, Jack, Carsen and Cole, golfing, cooking, or rooting on the Buffalo Bills.
