My Story

Daniel Ritter is a Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager, and Financial Planning Specialist at Morgan Stanley. After joining Morgan Stanley in 2008 in the midst of the financial crisis, Daniel immediately recognized the importance of taking a holistic approach in reviewing his clients’ financial lives and earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®. Daniel worked with one of the largest teams at Morgan Stanley for 8 years before leaving that group to build a wealth management practice focused on exceptional service, detailed financial planning, and tailored investment advice.

Daniel’s main focus is to create, implement, and review comprehensive financial plans for his clients. These plans include cash flow analyses, retirement plan assessments, beneficiary reviews, pension election analyses, education planning, charitable planning, risk management, and estate planning strategies. With his advanced financial planning designation and experience, Daniel often works closely with his clients’ tax and legal advisors to help make sure his clients’ assets are strategically positioned to reduce risk. Daniel has been named to Morgan Stanley’s Pacesetter’s Club in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, a global recognition program for Financial Advisors who demonstrate the highest professional standards and first class client service.

Daniel graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tulane University with a double-major in Finance and Economics and currently lives in Manhattan with his wife, son, and daughter. He is a self-taught guitar player and a sports enthusiast. He keeps active in the community as a regular volunteer at a food pantry in Chelsea.

Working With You

As the financial world becomes more complex and investment choices multiply, careful planning becomes ever more important to helping you achieve your financial goals. As your Financial Advisor, my role is to work with you to help you develop a strategy that lays out a clear path to your goals— a strategy that you can follow with confidence in the face of both good and bad markets.

Together, we will explore a broad range of topics that are likely to influence your financial future including your family situation, your career aspirations, the retirement you envision and your estate plan. What I learn will become the foundation for a financial and investment strategy based on who you are and where you want to go. Only then will I talk with you about the details of investing: how much risk makes sense, your asset allocation and which investments may be appropriate for your portfolio.

But that’s just the beginning. Over time, I will revise your strategy to reflect new aspirations and priorities, helping your strategy keep pace as the markets change and your life unfolds.
