About Clyde W. Pelton Jr.
Clyde has 26 years of investment industry experience, serving clients as a portfolio manager, financial advisor and branch manager. In his supervisory role, for more than 15 years, Clyde gained a comprehensive perspective on client servicing, having observed a wide range of asset management strategies as well as client and advisor behavior during positive and adverse market conditions. These observations over time have informed his view on the importance of risk management and the powerful impact of effective capital preservation strategies during negative market environments. As an undergraduate, Clyde attended Oxford University as a non-matriculated student studying international economics and English and graduated from Hendrix College in 1986 with a BA in Political Science, whereupon he accepted a commission as a Marine Corps officer. As a Naval Aviator during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield, from the aircraft carriers USS Tarawa and USS Tripoli, Clyde flew over 50 assault support helicopter missions and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Navy Air Medal and the Humanitarian Service Award.
Clyde and his wife, Lara, live in Lexington with their two teenage children, Megan and Sean, and together enjoy a wide range of health, sports and fitness activities. Clyde has served as a member of the Lexington Rotary Club, and previously served on the YMCA of Lexington Metro Board of Directors and the Board of Directors for the Chamber Music Festival of Lexington.
